Nasty place Indian food smell in the lobby

Bad attitude at check in after staying here 5 nights straight tolerated fighting in nearby rooms, working in the area and will not stay here again, bed is good, a/c good, but broken ground floor sliding door part of the only perk for staying here next to the shady motel next door and come on upgrade the 90's tv really they got them at Walmart for the same as a three night stay.

I stayed at this HoJo over the thanksgiving holiday 2009.... I was extremely disappointed to put it lightly. I have NEVER been treated so badly. From the moment I walked in the building I was treated rudely because I'm a smoker. I had booked a non smoking room and was told very rudely "if it even smells like smoke in the room a little, you will be charged for it" First of all, I booked a non-smoking room because I have a small child and I don't smoke inside with her. Second of all, there are more customer service friendly ways to go about that. When we got to our room, the sliding door hrdly opened at all and then we noticed that the plexiglass was coming out of the frame. Anyone could have walked into our room by simply popping the glass out of the frame the rest of the way. So we moved rooms. Ok this was a little better but not by far. The room (non-smoking) smelled like smoke. And when house keeping cleaned our room the next day, they didn't even restock everything. I didn't get more cups or coffee, the bed didn't get made and we didn't get but one new towel. To top it all off, I get home and find out that my card was charged more than they said it was going to be and I ended up with 3 overdraft charges because of it. When I called to try to resolve the issue I just got even more horrible customer service. I would NEVER recommend this Howard Johnson to anyone, not even my worst enemy!!!
