Gwendy prepared my husband and I’s taxes on 2/20. When she was done, she handed us our transcripts and ALL of our information was correct. After waiting 6 weeks for our refund check I called the IRS to inquire. I was advised that my check was sent to an address I’ve never lived at even though our paperwork showed the correct address. Confused and alarmed I called Gwendy who was just as alarmed as we were. Gwendy advised that after she processes returns, they go to her boss to be reviewed and then submitted. She placed me on speaker phone and asked her boss to double check the address and sure enough it had magically been changed after it was submitted to him. IRS has initiated a trace and if the check has been cashed my husband and I fully intend on filing formal charges in addition to whatever the Devision of Financial Crimes has in store. Gwendy is great but I definitely distrust the office as a whole and I’m disappointed that no one has reached out to us to make it right or offer any further assistance.
