Provided by YP.comI recently visited this facility for the first time a couple months ago. From my understanding, the facility is still pretty new and is owned by a single individual, unlike many of the big gyms in Michigan. [Lifetime, Joe Dumars, etc.] The gym had some of the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in a facility like this. People need to understand that during a tournament, every staff member can't be everywhere at one time. The facility itself does not make the garbage overflowing; the rude patrons do. I personally spoke to some of the staff members who seemed to be really nice young adults and were very attentive to whatever I needed [including restocking one of the stalls with toilet paper as SOON as a I asked.] The bathrooms were relatively clean as well.
As a business owner myself, I know how difficult it can be to get a new business off the ground. I appreciate all the hard work and effort that I could visibly see from the workers there. The floors are gorgeous and the rims are top of the line, which are things that are important for a facility. While there were a few broken chairs, again, that falls on the rude actions of the patrons; I don't know how one could blame that on the facility itself. I WATCHED staff constantly pick up after GROWN adults [trash, drinks on the floor] as well as work their best to problem solve, if a problem arose. My daughter's team enjoyed the carpeted area as well, as they often like to have somewhere other than bleachers to sit in between games.
The place is not perfect. But what GYM is? It's a gym--kids tear it up. It was a pleasant surprise to me, being that I had never heard of the place before. The gorgeous floors and little perks, like the tvs and concession area were cool. The floors do need a little painting and some arms of the chairs were broken but, I liked that theater seating. These are minor things that can be spruced up easily, I'm sure.
Visit the facility for yourself, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Any parent that travels often with their child knows how crazy it can be at ANY facility during a tournament. I highly doubt it's that much crazy there on a daily basis. It's silly to expect a NEW business to be on par with large gyms. But this gym is well on it's way. Better than those rubber floors we've had to play on at some tournaments [I won't say any names but, rubber floors are not conducive for basketball, seriously.] It's just a few kinks that need to be worked out. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting the facility for yourself, taking part in some of the GREAT programs they offer [I heard some of the kids talking about an NBA trainer?], and the cool stuff like the VIP room and free wireless [it had flat screen tvs, which were PERFECT when I wasn't watching my child play--I got to catch the game.]
I support small businesses! Good luck to Home Court Advantage!

Provided by YPmobileThe gym floors are nice, but the rest of the accommodations posted on the website were lacking. It is an industrial warehouse with 5 gym floors. There is no walkway so to get to the far gyms, you walk through others / benches. The stadium seats are actually more dangerous than anything - sharp edges / broken arms could cause harm to an agressive player. The concession stand, if open, is very limited. Yet, no outside food or beverages are allowed. The bathrooms are a mess - garbage overflowing / wet floors.
