If I could give it half a star I would

Terrible, terrible terrible service, did I say terrible. And oh yea, I almost forgot it was terrible. On a Sunday night, our other party arrived before us and were ignored at the bar and ignored by the hostess. The girls that work here are not hired for their skills but rather for looking like a Barbie doll. Luckily the bus boy was looking out for us. The food, I ordered the dry aged ribeye was decent and juicy. Another of our group ordered his steak medium-rareand it was definitely over cooked. When we asked the ditzy waitress, she argued with him, after he insisted(because it's a $50 steak) she took it back to the kitchen, cut it opened, and then brought it back to argue her point. He didn't argue back, but he didn't eat it either, he wasn't happy. The waitress couldn't explain food ingredients well. It's possible her verbal skills are limited to teenage talk, I don't know, but she was terrible. Our bill was roughly $450 but there was no way she was getting 15 percent. Terrible....do not go.

Great good - Comfortable, upscale atmosphere

I had planned to meet an old friend for a 7 PM dinner at Beacon Grille. She was running late, so I decided to wait for her in the lounge, which was very comfortable, yet upscale at the same time. If we hadn't made a reservation in the dining room, I definitely would have suggested that we eat in the lounge.

The main dining area is just as nice, and well-decorated as the lounge. Even though the restaurant was busy, our server greeted us within minutes of being seated. He was very friendly and extremely attentive throughout our meal, which was phenominal. I had Filet Mignon, which was juicy, tender and cooked just the way I like it. My friend had Sesame Crusted Ahi-Tuna and she loved it.

I also learned while I was there that 100 percent of the profits from the restaurant are donated to a program in Genocide Studies at Tufts. If I weren't a twenty-three year-old recent college grad and could afford to eat there once a week, I definitely would.

Great Service and Food!

I planned my friends 30th birthday dinner and decided to have it at Beacon Grille. Since we live in the greater Boston Area, Beacon Grille was the perfect meeting spot. I made reservations two weeks prior for 10 people, mentioning to the host that this would be my good friends 30th birthday day bash. I asked about a private room for the event and the host suggested that, for our size party, the Baldwin room would be a good choice. They had no problem with me arriving early to set up balloons and a happy birthday banner. When all of my friends arrived, we started the night with cocktails and than settled into our private room. The room was a perfect fit for our group; it had doors to keep, “our loud laughter inside.” The server was great and made our experience even better. Our group can be extremely, loud, rowdy and overbearing at times but he was very patient, offering suggestions and giving us plenty of time to make our decisions. All the entrées were fabulous however; my scallops were a little over-cooked. The pastry chef was kind enough to add a birthday candle to my friend’s dessert. Overall, the group consensus was, that they would each return to Beacon Grille, as everyone was extremely satisfied by how the night went. I recommend Beacon Grille for private parties.
