I found out my 4 year old golden had cancer at the emergency vet in grayslake il. We had been in and out of wonder lake roughly 7 times from mid October to late December. All they did there was apply bandaid after bandaid. She soon began exhibiting new awful symptoms and sadly passed away this past weekend. Although her outlook may have been the same no matter what- enimas, prescription diet, and endless antibiotics were 100% the wrong treatment. On Xmas eve, we took her in because of new symptoms and they saw a "mass" up at the top of her colon near the spleen...they gave her 2 enimas and sent her on her way to have a rectal prolapse on Christmas and vomitting in the days to follow. Not a foreign object, not constipation, a MASS. My dog was 4 and maybe if we found her problem sooner she could have had a better quality of life in her final months. Not wearing a cone of shame and not soiling herself all day because of dog food that is suppose to give her runs because that's how it cleans her out. I'm devastated and extremely grateful to the caring staff at premier in grayslake for putting our dog to rest in a calm and respectful environment...and grateful that didn't feed me line after line of BS.

I am so pleased with this vet. I had an awful experience with the Animal Medical Center of Lake Villa, and I ended up taking my puppy to the Wonder Lake location after some complications with her spay. The staff was so nice and friendly, and the doctor himself did a great job with our pet. He went out of his way to allay any concerns we had. He even called us later that day to check up on our dog. The facility was very clean, which is always a good thing to see when you first walk in.

Have taken my noisy Beagle there several times and walk away amazed at how attentive and professional the staff is. Most important, I appreciate how focused they are on my puppy and his needs. Beautiful facility too! Thank you!

Dr. Edin Mehanovic and his staff at Wonder Lake Vet Clinic are truly amazing. My two labs have been well cared for by Dr. Edin for the past 15 years. I have never met a more kind, caring, professional doc and staff. The clinic is extremely clean. They warmly greet you when you arrive. The parking lot is always packed which is a good thing! When they built their clinic they created a special room for families when having to deal with a difficult animal or a death in the family. There is even a separate exit for you don't feel uncomfortable walking in front of everyone with tears in your eyes. Dr. Edin is known far and wide for meeting his patients at all hours of the day and night. He calms fears with those midnight phone calls when your puppy has eaten something he shouldn't. Dr. Edin donates countless hours of his free time to no kill animal shelters. He is so well loved that the community appointed him Grand Marshall for the local parade. He has won Best of the Fox Awards from 2010 to 2013 for Best Vet Clinic. God bless you Dr. Edin and your wonderful staff. You truly are a blessing to so many animal lovers and it truly shows in everything you do for all of us.

Avoid this vet, his clinic in Lake Villa did surgery on my pup in December 2013. My dog ended up very ill and it took until now and another vet to help him recover. He ended up with severe infections. The rescue who took him there, took another dog after mine and that dog almost didn't make it.

THE BEST in every area: price/affordability, available hours, emergency service, professional, humane, kind care. It takes many skills to operate a clinic of this type properly and this vet has it all. It's a walk-in clinic so you never know what you'll find when you get there, but they move things along and there's always something to look at. Been going there for many years and have family who drive from Chicago for the service and the prices. Dr. Mehanovic founded the clinic and his surgical skills, people skills, and demeanor are superb. He now surrounds himself with vets and staff of equal caliber because he is so successful that he can't do it all! People like to write bad experiences on web sites these days about all sorts of places: I have never had a poor experience here and I DO have a lot of experience. Exceptional place with qualities rare these days.

Dr. Ed is by far the best vet i have ever known. He goes above and beyond my expectation of care even coming in on Sunday to check out my dog. I have no doubt that had i waited another day without medical care my dog's life would have ended that day. I would recommend him to all my friends.

Dr. Ed is the best. The other vets there i wouldn't reccomend for more than a routine visit. But dr. Ed is the best I've ever seen. and they are far less expensive than any other place i have been to with my pets. cats and dogs.



I just moved 1 1/2 hours away but wil still be making the trip there to see dr. Ed. It is definately worth the drive :)
