I have done a lot of business with John at Thin Blue Line Inc. He seems to specialize in estate sales and FFL transfers. I've had rifles, shotguns, and handguns shipped through him and every transaction was fast and smooth, without a single glitch. He's also a great guy to talk to... very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience with a wide range of firearms, as well as gun-culture in general. Every time I go there to pick up an order, the paperwork takes only a few minutes... but I'll be there an hour just shooting the breeze with him. I really enjoy his stories and the time and care he puts into all his work. If you're looking for a gun shop with a large selection of firearms on display to choose from, this is not the place for that, very few things displayed. If you're buying online through a distributor or auction house and need an FFL Dealer to ship to, I highly recommend using Thin Blue line Inc. I've found his price to be the lowest around, and his service to be stellar... not just on one transaction, but on every single one of many transactions spanning many years of business and friendship. Give him a call and find out for yourself.

Would not recommend. I went here to ask the owner to do a transfer on an AR-15 because the transfer fee was only $25. he said he would do it for me. When i purchased the AR-15 i gave him the info of the company I purchased from and he did'n't try to contact them for a few days. The owner was dragging me around for about a week before he told the company i purchased the AR-15 fromt hat he would not accept the transfer and that AR15s were banned in my town (Elk Grove Village) so the company was no longer willing to sell it to me. I had to find the AR15 at another online retailer and go through a different FFL whom I explained what happened to avoid any problems and he gladly accepted the transfer. I also got pulled over in my town while transporting the AR and the police told me it was fine to have it in Elk Grove.

Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone, theres quite a few other options for doing transfers on Gunbroker.com, try one of those instead. I dont understand how Thin blue line stays in business.
