Provided by YP.comWe have been to this restaurant several times, introducing new couples and spreading positive reviews by word of mouth.
We went by ourselves the first time for lunch and we were impressed.
The second time we brought a group of friends for dinner after raving about it, the service was poor and drinks unbearably strong. When we, after coming up with the courage, asked to have our drinks diluted, the waiter brought the manager over. We explained the situation and the manager immediately became defensive and developed an attitude towards us. Either way, the drinks were diluted and we carried on. Also that night, we had a friend with an allergy, which she of course mentioned first thing...they had to have brought out and taken back her dishes (tapas) several times before getting it right. We left that night semi-disappointed...more embarrassed that we let down our friends.
After this event, we decided to give it another try, since the food was pretty good and we had coupon (from groupon). My husband and I had a nice dinner and left happy.
We then made another bad decision...invited a different couple to the restaurant. Service was the slowest we had experienced...which we didn't consider a bad thing since we were in good company. We eventually were asked what we wanted for drinks. While looking over out menu, our friend was starving....they had always brought out rolls the previous times. We finally caught the waiter and asked for rolls. When they came, we dug in...I unwrapped my utensils and found food crusted between the fork, I didn't say anything.
Our friend cut into his roll and was surprised and grossed out to find a used glucometer strip. With 3 out of the 4 of us being nurses...it was known that a diabetic person must have been testing their blood sugar while making the rolls. ABSOLUTEY DISGUSTING!!!! After debating whether or not to say anything, we told the waiter who got the manager (same manager as before)... he approached...already in defense mode...we again explained our situation and he said they didn't make the rolls at their restaurant and proceeded to say that it was funny. My husband replied that it actually wasn't funny, and the waiter left to "look into it". He never came back or even looked at us through the rest of our dinner. We were not offered anything to make up for this experience, not even a free drink for our hungry friend who could not eat his roll, not even an apology.
We paid our bill, tipped the waiter 20%, since it was not his fault...but we will never go back again and we will tell more people about this bad experience than we told of our previous good/ok experience.
Thank you solun for handling our situations so poorly!!

Provided by YP.comNot your typical cookie-cutter restaurant. This place is for those who really love their wine and enjoy eating for a dining experience, not just to fill up. We had the salad nevat, blue fin tuna, Medeterranian cheeses, and garlic shrimp for our tapas... incredible! Everything was absolutely amazing. We have had the Medeterranian cheeses both times we have gone now, and both times the selection has been different, which is a nice touch.
We had the boneless short ribs and duck for our entrees, and both were exceptional. My short ribs didn't need anything but a fork to cut and the truffled mashed potatoes wrapped in a cabbage leaf were to die for.
If you are looking for a place with great food, an inviting ambience and great service, this is the place to go. We are happy to have a new place to put in the rotation.

Provided by YP.comSkip it. We went there tonight not realizing that it was their "soft opening". We hope that what we saw and tried was a matter of working out glitches because it was truly disappointing. The place is inviting; it had a nice color scheme, smelled delicious and had Spanish guitar music playing in the background. We were seated in the main dining room which was a little too brightly lit for my taste. The person that we were told was to be our waiter never arrived. The best part of our evening was the gracious waitress who ended up taking care of us. Unfortunately, she never told us her name, but she was forthcoming about the delay(down staff and a snafu in the kitchen) and very accommodating.
We ordered The Jamon Serrano. It was good quality ham, but the portion, compared to other tapas restaurants in the area, was small and the cost seemed high for the few slices of ham we were given. We tried both the seafood and ham croquettes. Although the seafood croquettes were slightly better, overall, they were BLAND. I also thought that they did not have enough of the aioli, but my husband thought that they sheould not need the aioli. We also had the baked goat cheese, which was quite yummy- It has a smooth and creamy texture with the tang one expects from goat cheese, tempered with the sweetness of the paprika oil. The only problem with this, is that it was brought out with out any accompaniments;we had to ask for bread to eat it with. We also had the tuna empanadas which were the best of all we had tonight. They had the flavor punch we were looking for all night. The last dish was the coca de lomo- it was...BLAND! Really, everything but the goat cheese and empanadas were bland. My husband had a coffee which was good and I ordered the crema catalan . What I got was soupy egg yolks with bruleed sugar on top. We sent it back and asked it be removed from the check. Even the waitress agreed that it was soupy. It was really awful. The lovely waitress was very gracious and removed the dessert and coffee from the check. Overall, it was a very disappointing. We had such high hopes because it was close to home, but it really was bland. My husband would like to come back in a few months to try it again. I am not convinced it will be worth it.
