I have been going to Chic of Essence for the past 12 months and highly recommend it. Kisha is a great master stylist who is very knowledgeable about natural and relaxed hair (especially for African American women). She keeps a clean salon, uses quality products, and maintains a friendly atmosphere. She is extremely flexible with scheduling and is reasonably priced.



I first came to Kisha with natural hair – having been natural for five (5)+ years. She worked with me in understanding my hair texture, ways to keep it healthy, and potential styles. She spent a significant amount of time educating me on how to best manage very tight coil texture, which, at times, is difficult to manage. When I decided to transition from natural to relaxed (solely my decision), Kisha worked with me in understanding the transition process. The thing that I appreciated most was her support and guidance – explaining options and alternatives (some of which were new to me).



I am pleased to say that my hair is extremely healthy and growing. I am a regular customer and highly recommend this salon.
