Provided by YP.comWhen we joined Gymnastics World, it was a warm, welcoming place. I signed up two girls for classes; one with a contract and one without. After a few months, my rather uncoordinated six year old found the classes too competitive and too high pressure. She stopped and decided to focus on dance instead.
In the past 18 months the place has stopped being welcoming - mostly due to changes in management. You get the feeling that they only care about winning and making money. There is little effort to make sure children are enjoying themselves.
But, after my older daughter stopped, my 4 year old continued to enjoy her class and being with her friends. Then her good friend turned 5 and moved up a class. We ran into her outside of gymnastics and asked how the new class was going. We were told that the friend was injured during class and the teacher yelled at her that she was not a real gymnast when she complained. She had a sprained ankle.
My four year old was still enjoying classes. Then she turned five and was still in a class with three year olds. The teachers pay little attention to the children waiting in line, especially when the classes are large. She began to complain that she found the younger children who pushed and shoved and didn't listen to be frustrating. I asked to have her move to a class with children closer to her age, but was told she could not because she was still nervous (actually newly nervous) about some of the skills. I was a little surprised because my older daughter did not have any skills when she joined and beginner classes are supposed to be based on age, not skill.
Eventually, someone contacted me, but only because my credit card was stolen and there was a billing issue. We decided to have her try rhythmic gymnastics which she was told was like dance. She absolutely hated it and it was nothing like her dance classes at Ms. Linda's. Now I just mention gymnastics and she bursts into tears.
I would only recommend Gymnastics World if your child is seriously interested in competitive gymnastics. They are very good at preparing older children for competition and I hear that they do well. I would not recommend it if your young child is interested in trying out a new skill and having fun.

Provided by YP.comMy son is in the toddler group and we look forward to going every week. My son looks forward to playing with the "beams and bars". Every week classes seem to stimulate him just a little more. It's fun and not frustrating. The instructor is wonderful and friendly. She works great with the kids. The director is very nice and friendly- although I”ve heard (not confirmed) that there is a new director? But either way- the one I signed up with is friendly and sometimes a little straightforward for some to handle I guess. But I’ve had a few conversations with him and I always feel like he’s there for us. Never has he shown us any different. I asked about making up a class and have never received such a friendlier response.

Provided by YP.comMy daughter is 8 and new to gymnastics. We eagerly joined in October 2011. She enjoys Gynastics World. They have plenty of activities for the children and continue to make additions in keeping our children happy and active. I have and will recommend Gynastics World. So the previous (frustrated caller) review is not what this facility deserves! Chu (director) is very pleasant and has a down to earth attitude which some uptight people may feel misplaced in conversation with him.

Provided by YPmobileWhen I called to research tumbling classes for my 3 year old, the director told me not to bother because his was the best in the country with the best staff and that when I was serious about joining to give him a ring...all because I said I was comparing different gyms. He was arrogant and rude and I don't recommend this service to anyone. Others around the web are saying the same thing.
