Provided by YP.comI was initially going to leave a three star review, since they were the only domestic abuse shelter with an opening and they picked me up from the bus station, but after today I felt compelled to revise my rating to one star. The housing coordinator left me abusive letters on my bed, telling me I wasn't improving myself. She took three vacations while I was there over the span of a month, and does not work Fridays, but said she knew I wasn't making phone calls to find housing. Also there was an issue with the toilet in the room I shared with three other women, so management told us we had to throw used toilet paper in the wastebasket, even we if had a bowel movement, rather than flushing it or using the two free unused toilets. I felt this was unsanitary and a health hazard. There were also dead bugs in some kitchen cabinets in our bedroom, and they expected me to clean this out. Then management held a meeting where I was confronted by multiple people who blamed me for speaking up about the unsanitary conditions. I was issued a warning for speaking up, and today they told me to leave at noon, without discussing this with me the day before. They also called a policeman while I was quietly packing. I was actually thankful he was there, and commend him for being polite and listening to me. They do not help women here, other than providing them with a bed and a safe location. Some of the women still haven't found housing after several months.
