I've had horses my whole life, and Cimarron Hill Ranch has hands down provided the absolute best care to my horses over all the facilities I have boarded with across the country. The barn owners are wonderful horse owners themselves, and are always monitoring each horse's habits and well being. Horses eat on a free-feeding system; hay is always of the highest quality, as the owners also own the local feed store, Divide Feed; pasture is beautiful in the warm months; and alfalfa is supplemented while the pastures are dormant. Horses have their own large paddocks with sheds, so that feeding is stress free (very important if you have a horse in the bottom of the herd, as I do) and they get plenty of time out on pasture for herd bonding and mental activity. The facility itself is gorgeous, with a nicely maintained arena and round pen, well appointed tack room, plenty of areas for tacking up, and the most beautiful view of Pikes Peak. There's even a barn goat to keep you on your toes! It's close to home but feels secluded and miles away. Every little detail of my horses' lives is accounted for and executed in the most efficient and beneficial way possible here, and we have never been happier.
