Do not make the mistake of placing your money in Park State Bank accounts with the intent of relying on their Master Card debit (card). There have been several occassions when "internal server" problems within the bank have resulted in a Not Authorized/NSF indication from the friendly store clerk across the check-out line. Meanwhile, your fellow community members stacking-up behind you, are asking themselves any number of internal questions. This is the ultimate in EMBARRASSMENT - maybe coming (somewhere) close to how someone that has to utilize EBIT funds feels.



A quick check of Park State Bank's antequated website will show more than adequate funds in your account (as you already knew). This unfortunate process has happened to several people I know in Woodland Park, myself and my wife, and does not seem to discriminate between "pending" purchase amounts. Have also noticed in the past that on the day a direct deposit is scheduled, the same inexcusable result (often) happens - seemingly throwing-off your account availability.



I have discussed this issue with various local retailers (gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, other banks, etc.) and their replies did not instill much credibility from those who "swipe" various credit and debit instruments on a daily basis and interact directly with other consumers in the local market. Neither did the responses from Park State Bank.



As an active member of the local business community and typical consumer, I will be moving my family accounts to a more reputable location ASAP.
