BEWARE WHEN SELLING YOUR GOLD TO THEM. I recently went in for a price on selling a gold bracelet. An ad in the newspaper said they pay 25% above the current value of gold so that caught my eye. I had not mentioned the ad prior to them weighing it. I then asked if the price included the 25% and was told no. They said you had to mention the ad otherwise it would not be calculated that way. No where in the ad did it say you must mention it, the way the ad appears it does not elude to you having to do so. I had taken it as it being an automatic but I guess not. In addition to that, the price they gave me was a full $150-$200 less than I was quoted at 3 other jewelers. The other 3 stores were all within $50 of each other. I am out of work and that is why I was looking into selling this piece. In these times when people are hurting for money it sickens me that someone tried to pad their pocket with my gold. I understand they need to make a cut, but not at the expense of a potential customer. There is no reason there should have been such a difference between them and the others, other than their greed.
