I shopped at Trouts to find fresh seafood to use for making ceviche. I am from the eastern shore and have high standards for seafood. All the seafood I purchased at Trouts was incredibly fresh and delicious. Their medium sized fresh shrimp are larger than what I’ve found at any other seafood market. I also bought fresh cod, hot scalloped potatoes and Mac-n-cheese from the counter. I asked for two pre-made crab cakes that I planned to sauté at home. The gentleman at the counter offered to cook them in the fryer for me. He said it would only take a couple minutes. He never mentioned that they charge $8 to fry two crab cakes. If I had known that, I would have cooked them at home as I originally planned. Other than that, I had a great shopping experience and will definitely be back!
