We bought a 06 6.0 f350 from here with 96k miles. About 4k miles later noticed that it was losing antifreeze. Blew the radiator and overflow apart i replaced both outa pocket. Took the truck back to xlr8 and they said it had blown head gaskets. So they charged us 5 grand to do head gaskets. Head studs egr delete. Got truck back and the trailer fault code comes on every time you hit a bump. Even without a trailer on the truck. Around 8k miles later starts loosing antifreeze again. And blows another over flow tank apart. So again i replace it. Call XLR8 and told steve what it was doing and what kinda warranty he will cover since he just did everything. He wouldn't warranty anything and acted like he was to busy for me and didn't want to help. So i took it to another shop. Where i watched the tear down. They only put half the head studs in. The studs that they did put in only 2 Them had the washers on them. Both head gaskets were blown they never even took the heads off the first time . And they must have over torqued the oil pump and cracked it. Then the put rtv silicon on it to try to fix it. Well the rtv fell off and clogged my oil pump causing a bunch more damage to my motor. I will never be using or buying anything from Xlr8 diesel. Waste of money and time! Horrible repair shop. Im 15 grand deep into replacement parts and labor now cuz they did a horrible job the first time. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON XLR8 DIESEL!

I spoke to a salesman about a truck and he described the truck as being in excellent condition. I drove over three hours to see the truck, based on his narrative. When I arrived I found the truck had serious rust issues. It was obvious that somebody had used a spray can and tried to cover it but the rust pieces were literally falling off in the parking lot. There was an obvious dent and scratch in the driver door. The interior was stained and torn. The front bumper and grill were damaged. The headlight housing was broken. The truck had more miles then advertised. I could go on for a while, but you get the picture. The staff was unapologetic and cold. I was prepared to pay cash for the truck but instead I wasted a whole day and lot of gas money because somebody struggles with honesty. Buyers beware!

My hubby and I just bought our first diesel from these guys and let me tell you...they were awesome. Steve took his time and really helped us decide which truck was right for our needs and really worked with our budget. They made us feel super comfortable. I would def recommend them to anyone wanting a diesel. Wanted to add something else. I read the other 2 reviews, but I wanted to give these guys a chance. They couldn't be more wrong. Crazy how people only put anything negative online. Def give these guys a chance....it's totally worth it.

In response to the ridiculous accusation made by the previous reviewer, I would just like to say that statement is completely FALSE. XLR8 Diesel Trucks has NEVER conducted business as a "chop shop". Not now or ever. XLR8 Diesel Trucks has sold about 100 trucks every year for the past 3 years with no complaints or ridiculous accusations. All titles have always been free and clear with vehicle history reports completed on every truck. It is possible that the previous submitter needs to be given the definition of "chop shop" because that is clearly not what XLR8 Diesel Trucks represents. Of course it only takes 1 jackass to write a negative review when there are hundreds of positives.
