Those quick-change places seem to exist to find reason to sell you something. Quite the opposite at Pro-Tech. They have acted like family members, keeping us safe and being sensitive to our pocketbook. And not only on routine maintenance. On diagnosis and repairs, they have been equally looking out for us - consulting, telling us what is necessary and what is optional, and keeping the cost down. Over the years I've brought them with huge problems and small ones. Some that I thought would be huge ones (and told them so), they took me to the shop and showed me why they were small ones, and could be fixed at minimal cost. Joe and his guys are friendly, helpful, honest, and top flight diagnosticians and technicians. And I trust them completely. AAA+++ Best in McHenry County. Highly recommended.

I needed a new master cylinder for my 69 GTO. Joe said it make take a few days to find. He called me back 10 minutes later , had not only found the part but it was 50 dollars less than he quoted me! Integrity, honesty and excellent work is why this is the only place in McHenry county to have your car worked on classic or otherwise.

My family has been taking our three used cars to Pro-Tech since we moved to Woodstock seven years ago. While our vehicles may be lemons, the service Joe and his crew provide is exceptional. The guys seem to have an uncanny knack for diagnosing the problem correctly, then fixing it completely. Most of the time, Joe can examine and work on my issue immediately, but in the rare instances he can't, he has somebody in the shop drive me home where I can wait for repairs in front of my TV. Of course, a ride back to the station is always available if I need it. Joe and his guys are prompt and courteous, but more importantly, they are extremely knowledgeable and as honest as the day is long. I don't like taking my car in for necessary repairs (who does?), but it's nice to know Pro-Tech is in the neighborhood when I have to bite the bullet. Pro-Tech meets and exceeds my high standards every time. Like a good doctor or lawyer, a good mechanic is decidedly difficult to find. In Pro-Tech, I've got the third one locked up!

Road in with my muffler on a hanger. Seems I really did a number on it so the whole thing needed to be replaced. They took care of me right away, joked about it so I felt better, and the price was so low I thought they forgot to add labor. All around great place and people.

called Joe at ProTech on a Friday afternoon - big problem with van. They were booked solid but he told me to bring it in. Drove out of there a few hours later - problem solved. Will never go anywhere else - these guys are the best and very fair!

i found this business by searching the web and am very very satisfied that i found them. When i walked in the front door, i inquired with a few customers as to the service they have had with the establishment. They didn't know me from adam! They shared with me that they have been coming to this facility for years and respect the effort and energy of them. That was the icing on the cake! Their pricing is in line, maybe a tad less, and they talk to me in understandable language so i can make an intelligent decision. I respect that a lot especially when i am NOT mechancially incline. I plan to refer others to this " way above average establishment " for superb mechancial service to your vehicle.

Very fair prices. Nice staff - willing to go the extra mile for you. Been going here for years and would never go anywhere else!

Joe runs an honest and fair mechanic shop. He fixes only what needs to be fixed, and doesn't load up the repair with unnecessary charges. I recommend Pro-Tech without hesitation.Thanks joe!-Aaron Netsell
