Farmhouse Inn At Robinson Farm
5250 W Woodstock Rd, Woodstock, VT 05091
"Always trust your cape". The refrain from a wonderful Guy Clark song inspires us to follow dreams and sometimes do crazy things. Sixteen years ago, it seemed crazy for us to move across the country, transplanting our youngest child, and leaving much of our family and many wonderful friends in California. Our vision was to convert the old farmhouse into a Bed and Breakfast and the beautiful big barn into a space for events. We didn’t know anyone locally and we had no previous experience in the hospitality and event hosting business. The adventure has proven to be one of the most enriching chapters of our lives, and we are so happy to have trusted our capes.
Chris Stapleton’s “Starting Over” and The Highway Women’s “Crowded Table” both resonate with us now. The Inn has been sold as a private property and we are at the threshold of a new chapter in our life together. It’s time for us to reinvent ourselves, explore new interests, travel, and spend much more time with our growing family and wonderful friends. We love Vermont and are making our home on a quiet back road in Tunbridge.
So many people have had a hand in making the place what it is. We feel that all of you - neighbors that welcomed us to a new community, everyone who visited and celebrated, and our loyal monthly jammers - are part of our story and the story of the Farmhouse Inn. We are proud of what we collectively created, and supremely grateful for the memories and friendship you brought to our life here in Woodstock.
We welcomed you to the Inn, our home, as friends and we hope the friendships continue to grow.
