I would personally like to thank Rick for reaffirming our decision to cancel our booking with him. My fiancee went to a couple bridal shows after we booked Neon Nights, and found nothing but negative reviews. I called, and spoke with Rick, and he asked if he could send a DVD before we made our decision. We said that was fine, the DVD was very outdated, and didn't change our decision. I made several attempts to contact Rick before the next bridal show so he would have opportunity to rebook the date. He never returned any of my calls. I finally was able to reach him today, and he completely proved that we were making the correct decision. After explaining we were going to cancel I asked if it would be possible to get our deposit back. Now in the contract it states the deposit is non-refundable which I knew going in to the conversation. However we were giving him over 7 months to be able to book someone, and had just booked ourselves a month before I initially called him. His response was "since you made the decision to drop me off of hear say I'm going to say no". Had he responded professionally I would have dropped it. My answer to him was, that is fine, that just reaffirms our decision. He then said you are just an idiot, and don't know what you're talking about. I thanked him again for proving we were making the right decision. He then said you are a moron, and when you get a divorce call, and .....I cut him off, and told him "what he could go do", and hung up. From everything we heard he is very rude, and refuses to change the way he does things. He has every single step through the wedding planned out with what songs he wants to play, and doesn't want to use the music you choose. He said he will use the theme to Shaft for the garter toss...not sure how that makes sense. I would highly recommend avoiding this DJ, there is a reason he is so much cheaper than anyone else.
