Purchased a variety of pieces from Sarah's Hope line for my wife. Very friendly staff. Especially like their watches (made in USA) with their logo on them - makes for really unique way to draw attention to yourself and a local business!

VERY Arrogant!

I have no idea how Milkins in downtown Wyandotte stays in business in this tough economy with their arrogant and elitist mindset. I stopped in to make an appointment for a diamond appraisal and they said they don't do appointments, they only do "drop-off" appraisals. The gentleman who said he'd do the appraisal said it is their policy and I wouldn't be allowed to watch as he did the appraisal on my VERY valuable diamond ring. He said if I didn't like it I should "go somewhere else". He also said the charge for a "drop-off" appraisal would be an exorbitant $75! I found that insulting frankly. What led me there initially was the fact they supposedly have a GIA certified gemologist on staff and I wanted my diamond graded by no less than that. I was told he was out of town and when he got back he'd be "too busy" to personally do my appraisal and I would have to settle for someone with mere "GIA training". I was shocked by all this. I went online and searched for another GIA certified gemologist downriver and ended up at Trenton Jewelers. The owner, Wayne, who also is a GIA gemologist did a VERY thorough appraisal of my diamond right there on the spot. He didn't make me "drop it off" like Milkins demanded. The appraisal only cost me $40 also and included a very detailed five paragraph write-up and photo of my ring. Wayne at Trenton Jewelers treated me respectfully and with dignity from the moment I entered his store. He spent an hour of his busy time with me and made me feel like I was the most important customer he'd ever helped. Unlike Milkins, where the owner wasn't even there and "isn't available" to do GIA certified appraisals because of his "busy schedule". I will be doing all of my future jewelry buying and cleaning at Trenton Jewelers rather than Milkins.

This is the 2nd request to have this "review"(?) removed. It is highly slanderous and very suspicious. In addition it has absolutely no merits! To degrade Milkins and then praise Wayne at Trenton Jewelers begs the question; Are Grady and Wayne one in the same? Also, please remove the (1) * based on this review.
