I LOVE Dr. Talcott! He delivered 2 of my 3 children and I almost wish I was having a 4th just so I could see him all the time :) He is great, and really passionate about what he does. I am so grateful to have found such an amazing OB/GYN and that he pursued this type of career. I can't say enough good things about him, he is really great!

I was referred to Doctor Talcott by my sister in law after she went to him with all 3 of her pregnancies, and now I have went to doctor Talcott for both of my children. Doctor Talcott is an outstanding doctor, he is very personable, knowledgeable, and makes you feel very comfortable. He jokes around all time, which was something I really liked, but he knew when it was time to be serious.

My second pregnancy was high risk, I spent 4-8 hours a week doing NSTs and weekly ultrasounds for the last 13 weeks. Spending that much time in the office I formed friendships with some of the office staff. His daughter Bre does the NSTs, she is so sweet. Lisa, the ultrasound tech and I would laugh and laugh together, I could sit and talk to her for hours. Doctor Telcott was very professional when handling my pregnancy, answering every last question I had, and explaining everything thoroughly. He is very straight forward so there are no surprises. There were many times I cried in his office and everyone was there to help support and make me feel better. They did a wonderful job taking care of myself and my unborn baby, she is now a year old and healthy as can be.

I would recommend Doctor Talcott to anyone with a sense of humor, like I said he is not your normal doctor, he is by far above the rest. I sometimes wish he was a family doctor as Im not having any more children, and we miss going to his office. My 5 year old asks to stop in and visit from time to time as he became 'Doc T's' sidekick after spending that much time in his office (it was his job to feed the fish) I cant say enough good things about this Doctor, he is just fantastic!

I had similar issues with Dr. Talcott, who requested I personally visit a pharmacy to fill prescriptions he claims he didn't have on hand. He asked me to obtain several doses of the medication when I needed only two doses for the condition he was treating. I did not have the wherewithal to confront him at the time because I was too preoccupied with my treatment.



I have never had such a traumatic and humiliating experience with an OB/GYN to date. Dr. Talcott and his ultrasound tech were insensitive, mocking and patronizing to say the least. His sarcasm and humor are very offensive and loud, behavior which added stress to the medical complications I was experiencing. He pressured me into a medical procedure and refused to discuss other medical options, treating me like an unreasonable child. He actually had a nurse administer a shot in a public hallway when I was physically and emotionally traumatized after surgery and too confused/weak to protest.

Currently my wife and I are filing a complaint with the state, due to being over billed by Joseph Talcott. My wife and I were billed for an extra ultrasound that doctor told was was covered but was not by my insurance because it was not deemed necessary. We then switched doctors and had an ultrasound since then and was not billed at all because OBGYN sent in a letter to explain it must be done. A few months later I was notified by my Prescription plan that Dr Talcott had continued to order Prenatal vitamins for us so we had a balance due of $126 for vitamins we did not recieve. Dr. Talcott does not show history of sending out this prescription because they were not our doctor at this time. Lastly, the reason why we left Dr. Talcott's office was because we felt he was absent minded. During conversations he would discuss bringing something up later, and then when we would ask him he would forget. Not sure about many of but to get billed an extra $400 while expecting, and to be mad enough to file with State when we are busy with expecting a baby shows how bad the doctor has wronged us.
