We went on Lee's winery tour for my bachelorette party. I can't express enough how much fun this experience was! We went to two wineries (and they were great), a boat ride, cheese tasting, and a limo ride to each location. Lee drove us and was extremely knowledgable about the businesses and areas we traveled to. He was also very polite and quite funny. This was such a great experience and we loved every minute of it! I highly recommend Lee's service and this tour to anyone looking for a day of fun in the Minneapolis area!

Wine Tasting Tour off Groupon.com - I will start by saying overall a great experience thanks to good company, a beautiful drive with gorgeous weather at an affordable price. The destinations were awesome with friendly, professional and knowledgeable vendors that I would definitely consider visiting again and recommending to others. However, the driver/owner…not so much.

The driver, Leland seemed to be a wine enthusiast himself as well as knowledgeable. The tour started with us standing in the cold outside in the parking lot listening to his 20 minute speech that I felt could have been done on the ride to the first destination or not at all. I’d suggest surveying the passengers to get a feel for what they’d like or how much they want to know. If he were to get a group of wine enthusiast such as himself have at it, ramble all you want. In our case there were 10 of us, all women, age range 20’s-60’s and pretty much everyone said the most they know about wine is they like to drink it, no one asked for a lesson in terminology or how to consume it. The driver strikes me as someone who has been doing this a long time and still has old fashioned ideas of what people like and what’s professional behavior.

By the time we reached our first stop he had already made a “bathroom humor” type joke that I felt was a bit unsavory considering the passengers were all women, not a group of frat buddy’s on a bachelor party.

Towards the end of the tour he proceeded to tell us over the limo speakers about all the bad reviews he’s received and told us in detail what they were like, “how dare they say that about me, can you believe that?” almost as if to warn us, all the while doing the things people complained about. Why would you share with people all the bad things they had to say about you. He said they wrote “his suite had food on it”

✓ His suite was indeed dirty and tacky with holes. He wore a navy blue blazer, ugly cartoonish neck tie, black slacks and worn out tennis shoes, very sloppy in my opinion

1. He said they wrote “the limo windows were crack” which they aren’t it’s the tint cracking and bubbling

✓All of the above and then some, the limo could use a good wipe down and should after every use, some of the seats were torn, sticky surfaces, dirty windows and the mirror ceiling has smears of some sort

2. He said they wrote, “he forced us to listen to his bands CD”

✓He mentioned he played in a band and granted a couple of passengers (NOT ALL) asked to hear some of his music but I don’t think it was necessary for him to climb in back with us, shut the door and sing along with the song and to top it off listen to the CD on loop the ENTIRE trip

3. And last he said they wrote, “the driver was creepy”

✓Now this can be interpreted differently by each individual but I think it’s always best to ride on the side of caution, better to be safe than creep people out. I can say he is bordering on being too touchy feely. It’s one thing to lend a helping hand to people getting out of the limo but lurking around behind everyone and putting your arms around people or giving unsolicited hugs is a bit much.

Wouldn’t you want to highlight the good…now that’s good business to me.
