I called to check on putting a hold on my mail well I was very rudely told I would have to go on line to fill out the proper form. Well I did what I was told to do. My mail was to be held March 6,7 and 8th. I put in my instructions that I would pick the mail up from the post office. Well on the morning of the 7th I went in to pick up my very important packages and to my surprise they couldn’t find them. Well I asked them to contact the mailman to find out what had happened but to also make sure that that days packages wouldn’t be left there. ( we have had a problem with packages coming up missing when no one was home to recieve them) which is why I had a hold placed in the first place. Well I was told to call back that evening that they were going to contact the mailman and make sure the packages were brought back to the post office. Well when I called around 4 to see if I could come pick them up I was told that the driver had left the packages unattended at my house anyway. With no excuse except for “ there wasn’t a slip placed in her box to inform her of the hold” well just as I feted my packages have mysteriously vanished. Now I am out hundreds of dollars and don’t know how I am to recoup this. I have a confirmation number from where I ordered the hold. But the place that sent the items has a tracking number that reads delivered. And by the way when I called to find out what happened and where my packages were I was left on hold for 23 mins until it was covienently past 430. Closing time. But just to really rub it in this evening I got an email letting me know that my hold was ending and my mail would resume tommorrow. This is several times the Yazoo City post office has failed to do there job and will end up costing me hundreds of dollars. This is pure neglect on there part and I shouldn’t be left with the bill.
