I have lived here for 2 years and the service has gotten worse the longer I have been here. The pool is poorly maintained, it is closed on Monday's for "cleaning" but never actually gets cleaned. We are told the lifeguards are responsible for removing the trash and cleaning the pool but last time I checked lifeguards are on duty to save lives. Most of the office staff is very unfriendly and will call the cops if you start to complain about something. My apartment has a problem with roaches about every 3-4 months, they do send in someone to spray but it is very poorly done. I have heard of some of my neighbors having bed bug infestations which they deny without looking at the place. Hard to get things fixed in the apartment, I don't think they relay problems to maintenance staff most of the time unless it is costing them money. People constantly leave trash outside their doors in the breezeway instead of taking it to the dumpster. The pool is not a salt water pool and my apartment does not have a ceiling fan as listed on the website. I no longer feel safe in this area due to numerous robberies and break ins. It is in a great location and most of the people are friendly but don't expect much from the people running the place.

Rent Inceases

When I moved into GSA 2 years ago, I knew the rent was a bit higher above the going rate, but you were in Yorktown. When I went to renew my lease the first year, the rent was going up $70.00. That is way above the average of most apts. in area. Working here, I resigned my lease for another year. At the end of that year, lease renewal was going up $80.00 for the next year. The buildings and grounds were not kept up and the feeling of security was gone. (There are alot of empty apts. if you notice and alot of the people that had been there for a few years moving)
