I have been in the automobile business for 20 years and have never seen such an example of BAD BUSINESS! I wish I could warn the world about these people! Being a member of Virginia Independent dealer association and number of other different organizations, it is my duty to tell you what these people have done. After making many of purchases through Car-Part.com and being referred to many different Salvages Yards for used parts my good luck had come to an end. When I ran across this RIP OFF company that goes by M&J Motors, Mathews Salvage Source and I’m investigating further to see if there is any other names. However, we had purchased a transmission that was advertised with the mileage of 62,000 miles. When the transmission arrived at my shop on 12/07/2018. It was still full of fluid and the old original filter was still attached. When states that all transmission are to be shipped without a filter and drained of fluid. Nor was there any tags or warnings of warranty contingencies attached to the part. After my mechanic examined the transmission, he called me to tell me that there wasn’t any mileage written on the bill of sale and the motor looked as if it had more mileage on it than had been said by M&J Motors. After flushing the old system and installing the transmission. He proceeded to check all the fluid levels and take it for a short test drive down the block. Literally down the block less than a half a mile before he noticed that the transmission is not shifting right. He brought it back to the shop and put the scanner on it. Only to find out that it has a bad second gear solenoid. So, he called M&J Motors aka Mathews Auto Salvage Source aka RIP OFF Motors and told the staff that the transmission was bad. At that point the staff there had suggested to put a new transmission filter on it and take it for another test drive.
