Provided by YP.comPrice went way up. My hair is the same length and they used one bowl last time for full color. This time it was 4 bowls and charged me for a light trim. Trim was free last time. This is a school and there should be a great savings, the trim cost the school nothing. The color was also a POOR match and I was told I would have to pay full price to have that fixed (I didn't do that)...there bad mixing! Last time I paid $18, this time it was $74. Also, students are very nice, but sit around a lot and you can see dirt etc. around stations, which they could be cleaning. Teach them that! I was not happy with result and huge fee from a SCHOOL......I will not go back.

Provided by YPmobileThis place is a joke. As a former student, I can truly tell you that they are a ripoff and you don't learn anything more than you would going to another school for a fraction of the price. The school is dirty! I know what goes on behind the scenes and you would never want a service performed here. The tuition is outrageous! $25,000 for a cosmetology license is absolutely absurd. I was Asking one of my teachers about a hair cutting question I had, and she responded with " you don't learn anything until you get in a real salon. We are here to have you pass state boards and that's it." Well if I would have known that, I would have saved my hard earned money and went somewhere else that appreciated my talent and didn't see me as a waking tuition.

Provided by YPmobileThis place is going downhill fast!! Casals doesn't own it anymore and the new owners are not only dragging Casal name in the mud but ruining this school. At least 5 teachers have left or been fired they lie to their students. Dirty, very dirty. I feel sorry that a lovely place has went to trash.

Provided by YPmobileThis place is a joke. I was a student who was interested in becoming an esthetician and was discriminated against because of my job, lied to about policies, and given the run around when I asked for documentation of my hours. It felt like everything was a secret. I was never told that 90% of what we were going to learn was going to be Aveda's Ayurvedic wellness bull crap. I wanted to be a licensed esthetician, not an aveda trainee. I asked about chemical peels and was told "aveda doesn't believe in using chemicals". Such an absurd answer to a student in the skin care field. All they care about is Aveda. In our theory class we played with clay for 4 hours once. All of the power points for lecture were COSMETOLOGY power points that talked about hair and products we didn't even need to know about. The reviews given for exams were nothing like the information on the tests. (I did well on my exams but that's because I went home and googled everything since our teacher couldn't even answer our questions unless it pertained to Aveda). We were told we couldn't wear perfume and one of the instructors even lashed out at someone about the perfume. When it was time to move to the clinic floor, all of the facials we were taught required steam and in a class of 9 we had 2 facial steamers that worked. That doesn't work so well when they schedule 5 facials at once! We were urged to use all Aveda products on a daily basis(which actually broke my face out) This place is a joke so I withdrew and was told I owe money to the school. This place is a disease. All they care about is making money. Wear aveda use aveda sell aveda. It's sickening. They don't teach students anything except how to work at an Aveda salon/spa. Most of the educators are extremely unprofessional. They talk about other students and make fun of them. It's unbelievable. I would never recommend anyone go to this brainwashing, discriminating institution.

Provided by YP.comHi. Do you know what a review is? Why would you put 5 stars up and not comment on your service?
