My son was sent here with a pulmonary embolism and he has received top notch treatment! The nurses are in here constantly, checking in on him and are always around when you need anything! Plus, this place is CLEAN! Very nicely kept, garbage is always emptied, his bed is always changed and the food tray is picked up quickly. Well done Mercy Health Downtown!

They have excellent employees who take care of their patients. They are well advanced in technology

Was in St. E Belmont for attempted suicide in May 2014. Have been there for medical purposes before and never complained. Please never let love ones go to the psych. floor. I personally saw large cockroaches and pointed it out to the Dr., he said, "Oh, that doesn't matter." and stepped on it. Another patient showed me her arm and shoulder that was all bitten with bed bug bites. Yes it was bed bug bites. I stayed in a hotel and had gotten them before so I do know what they are. If you think I imagined this due to drugs. I refused their meds, and threatened to sue them and was calling my attorney and was immediately discharged. Hmmm!

Youngstown is lucky to have level 1 trauma center. great hospital and staff .

I was in the emergency room at St. E's with chest pain and told to sit and wait for someone to see me. After 30 minutes my Husband complained and then was told someone would see me soon. Another 20 minutes went by and I was still sitting there with chest pain!

This hospital was no ordinary stay, I was there to have a Kidney transplant, and 10 years later I still remember every thing as if it was yesterday.. I moved to North carolina, and now my oldest child has to have a kidney transplant, we moved back near the hospital. it was that great I recomend it for my own child!!!!!
