Astou Hair Braiding

I go in to get my hair done and all I need is a simple braiding pattern for crochet braids. You know typical corn rolls going into bigger braids. Tell me why Astou herself is going to tell me over the phone the price is $25, and then when the braiding is done she gone up the price to $40. I'm telling you these people are a rip off! Do not go there! The pattern wasn't even right! You would do better going somewhere else!

Terrible experience, I would not recommend. I made an appointment, and my hair wasn't started until almost two hours LATER. If they were too busy they could have said that and I would have arranged for a different time. The women braiding were extremely rough and careless with my actual hair, no concern with the damage they were causing. Additionally, I was severely over charged for the style. Not worth it. I don't recall the style and prices being posted either, bad sign #1.

Go somewhere else. One of the ladies had the nerve to ask her partner in African, was i an American.If she has that type of attitude she should not be in the shop doing hair. She did the back of my hair and braids are CONTINUOUSLY coming out. I went back after 3 days and 5 braids had come out and the other lady had to fix her mistake. On top of that,. when they did my braids, they did not oil my scalp as they did the others when i walked in for them to fix them. I am totally OUT DONE with this place and would never recommend any one there.

Maybe they were having a bad day. If that was the case, they should of told me that they could not have seen me instead of making up braids in my hair and taking my $200. I am FURIOUS!!!!

I known Astou from Redeem and has always done a great job. No matter what style I want she can do it and if she cant she will tell you. She is very nice and professional you cant go wrong with Astou.
