Founded in 1990, EMU Foundation, also known as Eastern Michigan University Foundation, provides financial support to the educational community of Eastern Michigan University. The foundation is operated to receive, hold, invest and administer funds and to make expenditures on behalf of Eastern Michigan University. The operations of the foundation include investing endowment funds and managing planned gifts, such as annuities, unitrusts, bequests, life insurance, real estate, securities and other gifts. It also undertakes projects for analysis, identification and development of opportunities to increase endowment revenues. It has a wholly owned subsidiary Eagle Crest Management, which provides food and beverage and media services to the university complex. The foundation is located in Ypsilanti, Mich.
