Caregiver Relief …What Is It? Tri-County Respite Care is committed to the concept that respite services are basic caregiver support services. Respite provides appropriate time-limited care of individuals with developmental disabilities or brain impairments and also persons designated as “at risk.” Respite provides two basic functions: 1. In-Home respite is designed to allow the disabled or “at risk” individual to remain in the home by relieving the Caregivers of the constant responsibility of caring for their family member. 2. Community Access respite is designed to allow the disabled or “at risk” person to have access to recreational, social, and other community activities available in the community.Tri-County Respite Care Service offers personalized services and support to individuals of all ages. The Respite staff is trained to be responsive to you and your family’s needs. The philosophy of the Tri-County Respite Care combines the principles of mainstreaming, normalization, and self-reliance. The respite program is designed to support the caregivers and enhance the life of the individuals with special needs.
