I would give a zero, but that is not possible on yelp. This is without a doubt the biggest rip off in this town. I signed my boyfriend up for this gym so he could workout after he gets off at 5. I got him the year contract. Little did I know that it would be a big mistake. He went in a few times after I got him the membership, but he couldn't do the workout he needed. Its a social club more then a gym, and obviously he was not looking for singles. On top of that the staff is rude and not helpful at all. I called to try and cancel, but you cant with a year contract. I figured there would be an early cancellation fee, nope! The only way out of the contract is to pass this horrible agreement on to someone else, which I would never do to a friend. So here we are a year later, finally ready to cancel and he was told today that he would have to cancel with the district manager. I checked all over, and as far as I can see, there is no other 5 star gym in the rest of California. So why do you have a "district manager"? Also, I read the contract and it says nothing about having to meet with a district manager to cancel, that you just need a 30 day written notice. On top of that, we pay monthly on the 11th, yet we can't meet with the "district manager" until the 23rd, which means that we will have to make another payment to the gym. I DONT THINK SO!!!! If I have to, I will take them to small claims court to get my way. 5 Star Gym (should be named "Worst Gym Ever") will not get another penny out of me. I have heard nothing but complaints about this gym around town, and if it was not your only choice in town, I guarantee it would be empty. I have heard on multiple occasions that the woman who runs it is an arrogant idiot that doesn't care about the customers, and now dealing with her stupid contract and messed up rules, I understand why people HATE HER. I am going to call them tomorrow, and if I dont get my way, they will pay!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Spend the $40 a month to buy equipment for your home that you can actually use.

WHAT A MAGOR DISAPPOINTMENT YO. I am a retired disabled man from Philadelphia PA. And I thought I had seen the worst of rude and just down right obnoxious people untill I started to go to five star. The so called manager (kiry) Treated me like a PIG in frount of her so called staff when I daired to complain about some serious issues I was haveing as a handicap client. Insted of working with me or even trying to do the right thing she just TAUNTED me in frount of her staff and made sport of me I was shocked at her complete lack of respect and or compassion. I have no choice as a disabled man but to go there I need the physical therapy or I could die without it, so kiry told me if I daired to ever complain one more time she would terminate my membership knowing I have nowhere else to go. Just thought you should know what kind of people are running this place
