Precision Electric Co Inc
2130 E 16 St, Yuma, AZ 85365
Precision Electric Co., Inc, was founded January, 1946 by Virgil W. Dake. As a troubleshooter for one of Arizona's largest cotton seed oil mills, Virgil "fine tuned" his repair skills of heavy duty electrical and mechanical equipment. The entrepreneurial spirit in Virgil led to the establishment of Precision Electric where he repaired mechanical and electrical equipment.
The end of World War II in 1947 saw a large shortage of raw materials including copper. Electric motors were a scarce commodity when the City of Phoenix converted its electrical power system from 25 cycles to 60 cycles. Precision Electric served customer needs by rewinding motors to comply with the new power system. Precision Electric co. started to experience slow but steady growth with a strong emphasis on customer service and quality workmanship.
In 1949 Virgil signed his first distributor agreement with Delco Electric Motors. At the time, Delco was considered one of the largest manufacturers of electric motors in the United States. As time passed, distributor agreements with General Electric, Century Electric, Baldor, Universal Electric Motors and Emerson Electric Motors followed; and, along with it, continued growth of the company.
After graduating from Arizona State University, Don Dake joined Precision Electric full time in 1970. Don and Virgil went into partnership and later incorporated the business in 1974. Virgil retired in 1976 with Don taking the helm. Don's vision of growth for the company started with the establishment of Precision Electric - Mesa in 1981. He then purchased Jongeward Electric (Yuma) in 1983, purchased Ranch and Home (Tucson) in 1985, and established the Precision Electric controls in 1991.
Ron Dake has been with the company his entire career starting with counter sales then to Phoenix store manager, general manager and after graduating from Arizona State University in 1999 was promoted to vice-president of the company.
Today, Precision Electric co., Inc. is made

Provided by YP.comI had my well go down New Year's weekend, and I had company, so being without water for 4 days was an impending nightmare. I called Precision, talked to Paul, who called his "well " man, Tony. Tony came out within an hour and fixed the problem, and I was back up with water. I cannot say enough good things about Tony. He was knowledgeable, wonderful friendly personality, and just all around fun. We were all impressed with his service, and a special thank you to Paul, who called him right away. Saved the day for me!!
