Disappointing

Yuma Nursery is a nice local business, when you are a paying customer. The moment you have an issue with their plants or products don’t expect much out of them. I bought a tree from them and asked them how to properly plant it to ensure it would survive. After planting the tree and doing everything they told me to do, it didn't make it and after three weeks it was dead. So, I dug it up and brought it back expecting an exchange because some times, you know, plants just don’t make it. Well to my astonishment no such luck. If they didn't plant it, there isn't a warranty. So I asked for a discount on the same $55 tree and the reluctant manager (The Tight Wad) Pat said he could do $40. What an insult, not only am I out $55 but he only offered a $15 discount on the replacement. Apparently, Pat has no real authority to make decisions when it comes to doing the right thing for the customer. Also, at that time they didn't have the tree I needed, so I asked Pat to call me when it came in. Again no such luck. Apparently Pat can’t remember to follow up with customers and it is best for me to call every so often and see if the tree is in. My advice to the do-it-yourselfer is to STAY AWAY! Go to Lowes or Home Depot, you’ll be much happier. But to be fair, there prices on rock are good.
