I have gorgeous pieces of jewelry from Gary Blanchard. The selection in this shop is wonderful and if you cannot find exactly what you are looking for-Gary Blanchard will design and make it for you. He is an extremely gifted artist! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable (we love Rosie!). Jim and I highly recommend this jeweler. Gary Blanchard Jewelers is truly a rare gem! (Pun intended)

I am very disappointed in Gary Blanchard's. My fiancé went here for my engagement ring, not knowing anything about Jewelry. I wanted a simple heart shaped diamond in a solitaire setting. They didn't have the ring in stock, but one was specially made for me. I loved it and we planned to get our other rings from there was well. One day I noticed my diamond was loose so we took it there to have it fixed. While the lady working was looking at it, she noticed a chip and said I must have banged my hand on something. I do not remember any such thing. If I hit my hand hard I think I would have known. I’m not saying I didn't hit my hand, but if I did, it wasn't hard enough for me to remember. My fiancé was never offered or mentioned any type of warranty or protection when he purchased the ring, and had no idea he needed one. They did tighten the prongs for me free of charge which was nice, but they wanted $300 to replace the diamond, which is only 1/4 carat...if that big. We were also told he would fix it for $150 by shaving it down, which would make it smaller. It's a tiny diamond already. I don't think they were very helpful to my fiancé when He bought the ring. They should have been more informative. Oh and this purchase was not even 6 months ago. Also, my soon to be mother in law wrote a status on facebook about her disappointment and some tattle tale women went back to Mr. Blanchard and told him about it and gave him her personal cell phone number and he had the nerve to call her and ask her what the problem was. He then said he would shave my ring down for $125. Not to mention the setting my diamond was put in is not correct for an engagement ring. There is no way I can find a wedding band that will go with it, unless I get a ring guard. So now we not only have to purchase wedding bands, we have to get a replacement diamond. With all the stress of planning a wedding, this just adds on to it.

I purchased a necklace from this store about a year ago with a lifetime warranty and they were great! I understood that if it broke or was damaged in anyway the store would REPLACE IT and send the broken item to the company. At that point the manufactor would send the store a new one! NOT the customer having to wait. I dropped the necklace off and was told that the necklace would have to be sent off for repair. After not hearing anything for about 2 weeks I decided to call and was told THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN THEY RECEIVED THE NECKLACE AND THEY HAD NO IDEA WHEN IT WOULD BE READY. I wanted to have some kind of idea when it would be ready. I asked if she could call the manufactor to get me some information and was talked to very rudely. At this point I was getting upset. TOOK OVER 4 WEEKSS............ Had this been a sale I bet I would have left that day with my product. Mind you I have been doing business with this store since it opened. So for me to be treated and talked to the way I was will not be tolerated. I work too hard for my money to waste it on a place that treats loyal customers this way. They have LOST a customer and ALL my family. We will find somewhere that respects customers and wants a new ones! Happy New Year everyone!
