I am an original coastal N.C. guy. I have lived on each coast and dined at some of the best coastal restaurants on each. I now live in the D.C. area (I know poor me!) but I visit home every few months and drive straight out HWY 70 until you can't go any further and dine at MY Crab's Claw, welcome home! I've been coming to Crab's Claw since its' inception, so I'm partial or somewhat biased! But that's okay because if you visit you want be disappointed either. There's great food, great service (that's because Laura sits this fat old dude by the window and calls me "darlin" :-)! Okay, she says that to everyone, but I can dream!), great view.

The atmosphere is extremely cozy and comfortable. We went in the late evening so were unable to see the ocean, but my husband and I will definitely return during the summer months to enjoy that perk. The food was good. I had the Salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries. My husband had clams for an appetizer and the lobster with filet for his entree and was very satisfied. The service was very good, the servers (Rose and Deb) were extremely tentative and helpful. Overall, I think it is a great restaurant that my husband and I will revisit again soon.

Always have such a great time when I go out to lunch here!!! The view is wonderful and a walk on the beach is a great way to work off all the delicious food afterwards. Coconut fried shrimp is a favorite of mine and goes great with a passion fruit mojito!!

Great place to grab lunch and enjoy an amazing view of the beach. The staff is very friendly and I have loved all my meals there. Last time I went was this past December, and while it was chilly outside, it was still nice to sit at the bar, chat with the bar tender, and take in scenery. The upstairs dining room is by far the best option. The wait between ordering and receiving your food is a bit slower than I'd prefer, but well worth the wait

This place is a gem! My husband and I were just passing thru the area and hungry for seafood...this place showed up on my map and we gave it a shot. So glad we did. We had the conch fritters and peel and eat shrimp to start and then ended up having the lobster pot for two. AMAZING! The steam pot was the best I've ever had. The only bad thing about this place is that its 12 hours away from me! I will definitely make The Crabs Claw another stop if I ever get near the Atlantic Beach area again.

Great place for an easy lunch with a great view. Sandwiches were great and so was the Bloody Mary!

Cozy restaurant/bar with the best ocean view on Atlantic Beach, NC. Food/menu is always excellent and the staff make dining at the Crab's Claw a pleasurable experience. Great view of sunsets over the ocean in the fall/winter from the deck and a great place to end a summer's day at the beach. Fun to watch the beach volleyball games from the deck in the summer as well. We're "regulars/local"...as well as many of our friends.....

The Crabs Claw is a diamond in the rough! I was in Atlantic Beach for business, two weeks ago, and I stumbled upon this charming little oceanfront restaurant. I got the special which was called "The Picnic." let me tell you, this was great eats at a very affordable price. The best part of the picnic was the ribs. Whatever you do, if you go to the Crabs Claw, you gotta get the ribs! Aside from the great food, they have a great selection of beer and wine to choose from (and I had a few!). Additionally, the atmosphere and service was top notch. It was nice and quiet due to it being the off-season at the beach, so it was a perfect evening out... no crowds, no fuss, good food, and a birds eye view of the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience!

Excellent Margarita, excellent crab dip! Lobster bisque was very yummy and the bacon wrapped scallops very good too. Dessert was the "Shark Fin" enough to share, very big. Always love the view too! Others in our group had the salad with shrimp and Fish dishes. Son had a basket of fries-very good too. No food left at our table

I am leaving them 5 stars because of the stellar service and good food. We showed up, party of 26, at around 8 pm while the restaurant was packed. We had to wait an hour, and didn't leave until 2 hours after closing time. They were very accommodating, fast and everyone loved their meals: from the crab legs to the triggerfish special. I highly recommend this place.
