I purchased a new accord from Sean Tran at Hinshaws Honda. I found Sean to be really nice and he made the process easy for me. I would recommend him to anyone.

Quality service

Hinshaw's Honda is the best. Just when I lost faith in car dealerships your Bob Arnold really stepped up and have really taken care of my car and has been so kind to my husband and I. Bob has demonstrated confidence and a willing to go above and beyond for us and we fully appreciate it. We will always be loyal customers to Hinshaw Honda.

I've never owned another car but Honda and currently own my second one. My family also owns nothing but Hondas, so I may be partial but it is with good reason. Hondas are great reliable cars and if you take care of them they'll take care of you. However, for me that's only one part of the equation, the service and customer service is the other reason I keep coming back. I recently moved into the area and after a cross country drive my car need some regular maintenance, so I looked around at reviews online of the local dealerships. I usually take online reviews with a grain of salt, but given my always great experience I was concerned with the vast majority of negatives reviews that several other local (and closer to me) dealerships had. The only place that had really good reviews was Hinshaw's, and now I understand why. I drove in with no appointment and asked if they could do some regular tune up work, they were busy but not swamped. I had the pleasure of working with John M. I knew I needed an oil change but wasn't sure what I else I needed/wanted to have done today, but John asked a couple questions about when the last time I serviced the car ect. and was very upfront with the costs and whether he thought it might be a good idea. I ended up getting the oil changed, and the tires aligned and rotated. He told me originally it would be about an hour and a half for everything, which is about what I was expecting, 45 minutes later the car was sitting out front and I was on my way home. The dealership is a little farther away than some other dealerships but the service was impeccable and I won't take my car anywhere else. Also if you get a chance swing by the sales department and see Donovan. While I was waiting I struck up a conversation with him and got shown around the newest models, but never once got a "salesman pitch". If I'm looking to buy another Honda, he'll be my first stop.

I wanted to have my car serviced in South Tacoma Honda and called to make an appointment. What upset me was when I got there they could not find our appointment information and they told me we had to reschedule and wait for 1 hour to have it checked. Then I called Hinshaws Honda. The advisor Bob was so gentle and nice and asked us to come to them next day. The Experience in Hinshaws was really good. The advisor, John's service was professional and rapid. It took only 15 minutes to have my car checked. We felt really good and decided to go to Hinshaws for services from then on instead of South Tacoma.

I have no reason to not give a Five Star rating for Hinshaw's Honda in Auburn. My wife and I are driving our third purchase, the first being 1979. Our purchase experiences for new and used vehicles have meet our needs and desires to drive economically conservative. Based on trust we continue to use Hinshaw's Service Dept. We've asked for Bob Arnold, I believe since 2007, 151K plus our Civic is reliable for short and long distance trips. Even with a move we will go the extra miles for the comfort of a known dealership experience.

After a recent maintenance service on my car I drove away smiling--as usual. Without exception Hinshaw Honda's service is the best. The service desk, especially Mike and John, are always courteous, professional, and patient with this senior citizen. I always feel secure that my car is being maintained in top condition. When I'm ready for my next Honda, will it be purchased and serviced by Hinshaw Honda? Absolutely!

On 7/20/2012, I purchased a Ci...

On 7/20/2012, I purchased a Civic EX-L. Because of how a sales manager Jessie handled my situation, it was by far the worst purchasing experience of my life. This was due to complete lack of compassion, human dignity, sensitivity, and customer service Jessie displayed. In the end, I was an unsatisfied customer. In this case, the sale of the vehicle trumped customer service in a way that I have never experienced before.

We had to make a quick decision because I was leaving for a 5 day business trip the next day, my wife didn't have a car, was 26 weeks pregnant, and we had just moved to the area 2 weeks prior from Ohio. In addition, we didn't have furniture due to major issue with United Van lines. We had been sleeping on an air mattress for close to 2 weeks. The delivery of my car was also delayed by 2 weeks. We had no transportation, no furniture, a weeks' worth of clothes. As you can imagine, we were in a highly stressful situation for a family who just moved across the country with no friends or family in the area. And to top it all off, I had to leave the next morning for a 5 day business trip, and my wife needed transportation.

We settled on the EX-L without navigation even though it wasn't exactly what we wanted. My wife needed navigation as we had just moved to the area. We were not keen on using a Garmin, as they are less convenient and in many ways can be a catalyst to car burglary and break-ins. The dealership was closing for the evening, and I signed paperwork for the car but didn't take delivery of the vehicle. The vehicle had to be brought in from another dealership. The next morning, Renton Honda called us back and notified us that they in fact could meet our pricing needs for the EX-L with navigation for $25,500 out the door. My wife and I were very excited because having navigation in the dash of the car was extremely important to my wife. We came from a city where car break- ins were quite common, and we also knew that civics were commonly targeted for theft. After getting the call from Renton Honda, I called Hinshaw Honda back to see if something could be done. I informed the Sales Manager Jessie at Hinshaw of our incredibly difficult move and situation. manufacturer. I wanted to stay with Honda. Jessie informed me that it didn't I explained to Jessie that another Honda dealership was able to meet our needs and asked if he could work something out to match it. Otherwise, I wanted to get the car we wanted at the price we wanted from Honda, regardless of the dealership. He instructed me to come in and speak with him about it. I immediately drove to the dealership. Jessie was not very sympathetic or flexible over the phone. After meeting with Jessie, I explained my family's situation & struggle moving to Seattle and my timeline. Jessie provided absolutely no sympathy or care for my situation and told me that all he could do is find another vehicle and charge me the difference. He said that if he matched Renton's price he would be losing money. Jessie didn't want to lose money. I asked Jessie why something between the Honda dealerships couldn't be done? I wasn't trying to take my business to another matter that Renton was a Honda dealership. Jessie informed me that each dealership is different and in no way shape or form the same. I didn't quite understand how this could be. Jessie told me that the car I had signed paperwork for the night before should be good enough and that it was a good deal. Jessie informed me that I should be happy with the car and that Hinshaw had done "nothing wrong. Jessie didn't want to lose money. I told him that I felt like he was putting the sale of the car ahead of our unique customer needs and ahead of customer service. He had the ability to make the situation right, but he chose not to. I have never had a sales person display such a complete disregard for a customer especially given our unique circumstances.

My wife and I are long time customers. We have owned several Hondas and always had them serviced at Hinshaw Honda Auburn. We especially appreciate the courtesy and consideration provided by John Matteson in the Service department. He brings genuine problems to our attention, but never has never attempted to persuade us into excessive, unnecessary parts or repairs. He has a very customer-friendly style without overtly seeking to edge out his colleages to get credit for their business.

HINSHAW HONDA UNPROFESSIONAL FINANCE REP. JULIE

I purchased a used car from Hinshaw Honda 2 months ago then get a bill for outstanding license fees, so i called Julie in finance to find out why, but instead of talking to me like a professional she tells me to purchase her some software so that they would be able to calculate the correct license taxes and fees then hangs up on me. Not only that she typed in my address and phone number all wrong like she had fat fingers or something then made it seem like it was my fault because I didn't thoroughly go over her work. All and all bad place to give your business too.

GM is unethical and pompous

Jim, the GM of Hinshaw's in Auburn is a pompous a$$ with no morals or ethics whatsoever. He's a man (and I use that term loosely) who obviously tries to wield his illegitimate power over others (especially women) in an attempt to boost is overinflated ego. Unfortunately for Jim, anyone with an IQ over 50 can see right through him. I feel sorry for any person that may unknowingly be forced to deal with him. Because of Jim, I will continue to post as many reviews as possible to forewarn anyone considering buying a vehicle at their location. This is a pity as the Salesman (Dex) and Finance contact (Kyle) were incredibly helpful.

I love my Car!

I purhcased a 2009 Honda Civic from Hinshaw's Honda, and I love my car and my sales person. As a woman purchasing a vehcile I was worried about being taken advantage of. I was quickly put at ease and felt very comfortable purchasing my new car. The process went smooth from start to finish everyone involved were kind and professional.

DO NOT SERVICE YOU CAR HERE!!!!

This dealership is probably one of the WORST Honda Dealerships! I have owned Honda's since 1996 and it was a mistake to even take it to this place. I have brought my car to this dealership months ago to replace the timing belt which was required by Honda. After the belt was replaced, the car would squeak for about a second when you start the engine. After paying almost $1400 to replace the belt, I obviously didn't want to hear this really annoying squeaking noise. I HAVE BROUGHT THE CAR BACK AT LEAST 8 TIMES AFTER THAT because they were trying to adjust the belt and guess what.... the squeak is still there. After bringing it back at least 8 times they said it may be the "tensioner" so I have to bring it back again and pay another extra few hundred dollars. This place is horrible......... PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR HONDA'S HERE!!!!!!!!!

Rip off artists

Bought 2 bikes here. Have had nothing but problems with them. Hinshaws did not stand behind their products. Spent hundreds in their parts department, hundreds in their service department and still get the shaft. Their service department solved none of the problems and had attitudes every time I tried to deal with them. After spending thousands at their store I still get horrible service from them. They even turned my kid away one day because he was 2 dollars short on a tube replacement. 15 grand later I'm done. Not going there ever again.
