Trusting this gun shop was pretty easy as the staff here are so warm and kind. When I first bought my gun here, they made sure I knew the ins and outs of caring for it, ensuring that my gun lasted for a really long time.

DFW Shooting Sports helped me find a rifle for my dad. They seemed to genuinely care about identifying the best gun that matched my dad's personality and needs. Pretty great gun shop that is run by good people.

I don't trust any other gun store besides DFW. My gun is still in near-mint condition with the great advice and help from the workers at DFW.

Had an excellent time at DFW Shooting Sports. The staff were great with me, never mistreating me or pressuring me to buy immediately.

DFW Shooting Sports seriously is the best around Bedford. They were so helpful and passionate about what they were selling; they weren't pushy about making me buy guns I couldn't afford or didn't suit my needs.

Great gun shop! Literally has absolutely EVERYTHING you could possibly think of to address your gun care needs.

Trent and Mark were very helpful in helping me pick out my first bolt action rifle. I have several guns but not your typical bolt gun and they really made me feel at home and comfortable with my decision. I will be going back there time and time again...

When this business went by the name of "Pioneer Gun Shop" in my opinion it was a MUCH better place than currently under the new name of DFW Shooting Sports. The personnel at Pioneer were great and I bought two used guns there without any problems or hassels. Avery, Bob and Phillip were extremely nice and cordial.....folks that you'd love to just sit and talk to about anything at all in which I did on several occasions.

So when I needed another used rifle I went back to this store several days after Xmas 2012 and found out they had changed their name. Thats not all that has changed.....

Customer service went right out the door to some other business when this new DFW Shooting Sports name came around. The slightly older heavy set fellow behind the counter wearing a pistiol gave me the impression that my meager amount of money given to them for the price they wanted on this particular used rilfe just wasn't enough to get any decent customer service from. When I bought this used rifle this guy told me they had fired it and that the rifle was in good order. Ooops.....maybe he meant another rifle as this one certainly is a big fat lie.!!

Upon getting it home I took it apart after the bolt action wouldn't even work and quickly discovered that the rifle WOULDN'T FIRE AT ALL due to a worn out trigger and recoil spring. The bolt had jammed forward and refused to retract normally......I can't fire the gun in this condition-DUH.!! There wasn't any recent gunpowder residue in the barrel such as what one would find after a firearm has been recently fired either.

One of the bright spots to this review is that of "Bob" who is left from the Pioneer gun shop days. His expertise in this endeavor is top notch but I cannot say that for the older guy wearing the pistol behind the counter the day I came in to purchase. His attitude was one of "I don't care to help you out as your purchase isn't a high dollar event" of which I thought he was just downright rude to say the least.

THEN on top of that the rifle couldn't fire when I got it home but yet this new business uses the "quality firearms" line in their advertising.

As always NO refunds or returns on used merchandise so this business has completely washed their hands of any wrong doing...don't you know.



MY ADVICE.......BUYER BEWARE at this buiness for used firearms..!!



You may or may not be told the truth about your purchase and at this point I won't buy again from these people. They flat out lied to me about this gun's condition and then the customer of course has to sign a document saying they are not responsible should something go wrong with your used firearms purchase.

Now then...if this place prides itself on "Gunsmithing" I wonder why someone didn't take a look at this particular rifle AND FIX IT before they put it up on the shelf to be sold..?? Hmmmmmm.........sounds like a juicy lawsuit just waiting to happen.



IF you can find "Bob" in the store go after this one as hes the best at customer service, is a great person to talk with and genuinely cares about customer's needs and concerns. FORGET about the older heavy set short guy that gives the impression that hes better than sliced bread. He doesn't deserve a job that requires customer service as he gives the impression that you are not paying enough to have his attention. IF I were his boss he'd be gone from my business YESTERDAY..!!



I give this new place 1 out of 5 stars for NO customer service, NOT checking this rifle to be sure it fires correctly and works properly, ad finally leaving me the impression that my mere pennies are not worth a decent thank you for my business.

There's always someone available to help you out at this place. Nothing is perfect in this world but considering the location and what I think is excellent service, this is a very good place to get what you want/need along with a friendly and helpful staff.

I was looking to buy my first handgun and the only way I can describe the experience at Pioneer Gunshop is it was exceptional. The man who was helping me answered all of my "newbie" questions with a large amount of knowledge. Overall, this was a very friendly and great experience for a firearms store and I plan on being a frequent customer.

I got my first handgun from Pioneer Gunshop. It's a very friendly environment and insightful staff unlike other gun shops where the staff are somewhat unhelpful. They guided me throughout the whole process of my purchase and gave advice to make me feel at ease. They have a lot of good deals, good prices and I was able to get a good gun. Overall I would highly recommend these guys.

Excellent customer service. They really take care of their customers and the owners/employees are well informed in all areas of guns, ammo, etc. I highly recommend this store and will refer to friends.

The staff is very helpful and is more than willing to answer any and all questions you might have. I will definitely return to Pioneer Gunshop for all of my needs in the future.
