Dr. Matthew Hillis was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, cum laude, at Harvard University. He received his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and then fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Hillis has special expertise in the catheter based treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and the implantation of transvenous and subcutaneous cardiac devices. He has been named a Top Doc in Cardiology by Main Line Today magazine and is committed to keeping the doctor-patient relationship at the center of innovation in healthcare delivery.
