Outstanding experience. My 1950's home and garage was literally transformed with new siding/trim/gutters. These guys are PROs! It was obvious from the start that the install team takes great pride in their work and it really shows, notably in the details . They answered all my questions and even offered some styling/color suggestions which we incorporated in the finished product. Getting many great compliments from neighbors. They have my highest recommendation. Cleanup was excellent and they would not leave the job until they were ensured we were completely satisfied.

Will be reviewing upon completion.

Joe is very knowledgable and honest. His work crew is fast and efficient. My yard, patio and deck were cleaner when the finished than before they started the job. Our roof looks fantastic and I appreciated all of Joe's answers to my questions. My husband and I felt we got a very reasonable price for a job well done. We HIGHLY recommend Atlantic Craftsman Co.

You could tell we'd been neglecting the exterior of our home for several years. Our roof was old and heavily stained with algae – it was incredibly embarrassing. We also had several areas of trim and soffit that were rotting and falling apart. Our gutters were in sad shape – old, leaky, and beat up. Our porch railings and spindles were rotting and in disrepair. To make a long story short, we were in need of a lot of work done to our home. I needed to find a company that could do it all.

I kept putting everything off because I was afraid of being burned by yet another contractor. I learned you’ve got to be very careful when hiring contractors. You have to be diligent and check to make sure contractors have references and are licensed and insured. It’s also a good idea to be home throughout the duration of the job – not to micromanage, but to learn and oversee; making sure all is done to your satisfaction. After all, it’s your money and your house.

Anyway, I literally interviewed 8 different companies and got estimates that were all over the map. In the end, I threw out the ridiculous highs and lows - and settled on Atlantic Craftsman. Not only was the price was right, but more importantly to me, I found a contractor (Joe) whom I could trust to do the job right. I could tell right away that these guys were a professional outfit. How many contractors are able to print out an estimate/contract on the spot, right from their vehicles? How many roofers are GAF Master Elite Certified (I can assure you – not many)? Fortunately for me, Atlantic Craftsman turned out to be everything I was looking for in a company: trustworthy with rock solid credentials, priced right, and among the best in the industry at what they do.

It’s now a year later and our new roof and gutters look absolutely amazing! Mike and his team did a fantastic job metal wrapping all of our trim, fascia, and dentil blocks (most companies can’t or won’t do the dentil blocks). We also have matching ventilated vinyl bead board installed over our porch ceiling and all our soffits – complimenting the wrapped trim and fascia quite nicely. The end result is that not only does our home look amazing; it’s now impervious to the elements! That means no more scraping, sanding, peeling, and painting – ever! We’ve gotten numerous compliments from gawking neighbors.

I also know firsthand that Atlantic Craftsman stands behind their warranty. I had a recent problem that affected my roof and Joe sent a technician to repair the problem within 48 hours (very impressive).

When it comes time to replace my vinyl siding, I’ll be calling Atlantic Craftsman.

I contacted Joe at Atlantic Craftsman about putting a new roof on my house and he was able to provide me with a roofing estimate the same day. They completed the work soon after. I was pleased with his work, his crew was courteous, his work was professional, even the neighbors still comment on how nice the roof looks and how it's improved the look of the whole neighborhood! I was so pleased with his work that I even recommended him to my parents who have now had their roof done, and are also very happy with the results! I would recommend Atlantic Craftsman to anyone in need of a new roof. Very fair price, great product, excellent cleanup from the crew, and wonderful results. Thanks Joe!

I did not personally hire this company myself; they were subcontracting for someone else. I must say that the work itself is ok. However, the workers are unprofessional. They do not make appointments, then show up without calling. Not once did they call us to us know they were going to coming. The last time a guy did come out, he just showed up out of the blue and started banging on the house. I was not happy. But, after all the hassle, the work itself is ok. Not great. but it will do.

Had house roof shingles replaces on Sept. 29, 2011. Job was done in one day. I'm reserving final judgement after a few storms and strong wind but for now from a looks perspective, Atlantic did a fantastic job, the crew was very friendly and everything cleaned up outside. Only found one nail so far.



Finding a roofing company is a racket and very stressful. Half don't even respond to voice mail or show for appointments. For me, it came down to Atlantic Craftsman and Patriot Roofing. Could have gone with either. Omar did not help his case by not coming in hand with references in hand like Atlantic did and not being entirely positive he did my neighbors house. I still give Patriot good marks and even Joe speaks highly of him.



I had my home switched from louvered/power vents to a ridge vent which makes the back roof look much nicer. It's also a lot cooler upstairs now. My biggest complaint with job is the amount of saw dust and wood chips in the attic which we use for storage. Also, some of chips got into the furnace drip pan which could have clogged it. Luckily it was caught. Only other complaint is the crew could have been a bit gentler tossing the bundles on the roof especially with plaster finished interior.



I don't like providing a review this early until I'm certain there are no issues with leaks or other problems and how well Atlantic responds to such issues. However, from an initial performance perspective I'll give Atlantic high marks. Hopefully it stays that way. I'll update this review later if YP allows it.

Had Atlantic Craftsman put a new roof on my home today. Through the whole process from bids to installed product Joe (owner) was fantastic. Low/ No pressure sales approach was a nice touch compared to others who came out to the house. Our roof is a pretty good size but Joe's crew had the old one off and new complete in 1 day. The extra touches of painting vent pipes and impeccable clean up were also a nice change of pace compared to stories I have heard. Great job Joe! Thanks again.

Joe and his crews were great! They reroofed my house and my rental townhouse in one day. Really great jobs .... they paid attention to all the details. I saved over $1000 compared to other bids I had received too! We have had three bad storms since the roofs were replaced in May .... not a single problem with either roof. They are the true craftsmen of the local roofing industry.

Extreme Makeover



We had roofing, siding, trim and gutters done by Atlantic Craftsman back around Oct 2010. We are very happy with the results. It was literally extreme makeover. They went above and beyond with the work. It really makes a difference when the company's goal is to make the customer happy.



Joe (owner) gave a very detailed printout estimate unlike other companies, which really makes a difference up front. The whole project took a long time mainly because of rain delays. The roof looks great now and was done in 1 day and the siding took about 1 week. The trim was done by one person and he really did a fantastic job with the metal. They made our house look unique, and it really stands out in the neighborhood. Its like a brand new house.



The company did a lot of extras that was not in the contract, like wrapping our porch pole, replacing some flashing, putting new light fixtures and shutters (we bought products, they installed), and putting a carved half-round trims (The metal wrapping didn't work out well with the half-round trims, so we used some other material)



A few minor things..

The cleanup was not that great. I had to pick up a lot of nails and debris in my lawn. But after seeing the guys work so hard, I really didn't mind doing the cleanup.



Also, the renovation had to pause for about a week because of heavy continuous rain. Unfortunately, the rain started when the new siding was done but the old trims were still in place and they were uncaulked together. This let in rain and made some of our windows leak inside. Not too big of a deal since I needed to redo some of the drywall from previous leaks anyways. Its been almost 1yr now, so far we've had no window/roof leaks.



The company also gave us 100$ gift card for recommending one of our friends to get a roof job done.

Joe Glazebrook is knowledgeable, professional and approachable. He provided us with the information we needed to make our decision on a new roof. He pointed out options and the advantages and disadvantages of each. He also suggested a shingle color that would blend well with the color of my house. I chose that color and it looks just great. The crew arrived on time, were polite and friendly. They answered all my questions and my concerns. Joe came out the day the roof went on. The job was completed within the time estimated, the site was left clean and there were no hidden costs.And a truly fair price, I would not hesitate to recommend Atlantic Craftsman to anyone contemplating a roof replacement. Thank you Joe so much for making a family who did not know anyone in town feel at ease. We consider ourselves lucky to have found you !!

Joe was fantastic as were his team. Best experience with home improvement I have ever had. They replaced my roof and gutters. The proce was very fair and they did an excellent job. On time and also cleaned up everything after. Joe Glazebrook was terrific. He explained everything they would do and he always folllowed up. His team were on time, did a terrific job and cleaned up after. I have received so many compliments from my neighbors. When we are ready for our window replacements I wouldn't call anyone but them.

A roof is a roof is a roof! Not true. You are lucky to get what you pay for. And I feel lucky. Remember, if you don't have a good roof you can forget about the rest of your house. The roof protects it all.



I started looking at getting a new roof installed on my house about 10 months ago. I talked to six or seven contractors. Then I talked to Joe Glazebrook at Atlantic Craftsman Co. Over a period of months, he came to my house 3 or 4 times to address my questions and concerns. In the end, I believe I got an excellent roofing system of GAF products installed the first part of April 2011. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The installers were well trained and did an excellent job.



I would recommend this company to anyone who is thinking about re-roofing their house. The skill and professionalism and attention to detail by all the employees is first rate. Thanks for a great job.

Joe personally came to our house and gave us a great quote and was quick on when they could do the job. He and his team stripped and reshingled our roof in a day with great work. They also did a great job of cleaning up after words. I would highly recommend Atlantic Craftsman for anything you need!

I am very pleased with all the good work they did on my home. They were very honest, ontime, and easy to work with. They have a great gaurantee and if you need to have questions you can always reach the owner and he will always get back with you to help you in anyway possible. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I just wanted to add my support for a wonderful company that everyone should be contacting for thier roofing needs. Atlantic Craftsman's crew arrived at 7:20 am and had my roof stripped and reinstalled by 4:00 pm. The crew was very professional and the cleanup was excellent.



As for the price, 2 words, "Lowest Price" and the roof looks great!! Thanks Joe and thank your team for me!!

Pre-sales: Joe was great. He answered all of my questions and helped me make the best choice between contractors. Another company gave me a cheaper price for the Golden Pledge but Joe was willing to meet the price as I felt more comfortable working with him. Joe was not the typical "pushy" sales person -- he was just plain helpful.



Installation: Joe has a large team (~10) and they were able to remove all the shingles quickly. Unfortunately, I had a lot of rotted plywood they had to replace. I recently paid $1500 to wrap my Mansard windows and they had to remove the wrap. They cut the wrap off with an X-ACTO blade when it could have been possible to remove the wrap by popping out a couple of nails. I understand it would have cost them more time to try to remove the wrap but it would have saved me from having to replace it all! I feel the installers could have also been more careful with their ladders. Joe told me they have blocks which go in the gutters to prevent the ladders from leaning directly on the gutters, but my three month old gutters got scratched by their ladders. They could have put cardboard or something similar between their ladders and my gutters to protect them.



Post-installation: Joe and I came to a reasonable agreement on price to have his crew re-wrap my Mansard windows. They cleaned up all the trash, shingles, nails, etc. on the ground. However, I would have liked to see them clean up some of the scuffs and black tar marks they left on my gutters and the aluminum siding.



Overall: Joe was informative, helpful and he gave me a great GAF roof with the Golden Pledge warranty for a great price.
