Dr. Koos has an awesome facility. He has an excellent bedside manner even though he's cool enough to play my choice of music while I was going under to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. I awoke with another song playing from his IPod by the same band. Painless procedure!

Provided by YP.comI got my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Koos. I was impressed right from the start. I love getting reminder calls for doctor appointments because I often forget. They emailed and called a couple days before and that was nice.
I got there and was immediately impressed by the facilities. There's a fridge with free drinks in what I can barely call a waiting room. I say that because the chair I was in was one of the most comfortable places I've ever parked my rear. It didn't feel like I was waiting. Then, I go back into a private room with the dentist's chair, sit down and then received a remote control for a tv that swings around and hovers wherever I want it. DirectTV with all the stations...awesome!
I am a skeptic. I started to think this place HAS to be too good to be true. So, I incorrectly assumed that maybe the Dr. would be a little brazen and cocky because his place is so nice. I was waaaay of the mark. Dr. Koos has a fantastic bedside manner which became apparent during this initial consultation. We examined a 3D image of my face and pointed things out. He was very attentative and cared that my concerns were addressed until I felt comfortable. So I set an appointment for the procedure.
I chose to go with the laughing gas and general anathetic and all 4 out in one day...actually 45 minutes. I was lead farther back into another area of the office on the procedure day. The first thing I noticed the nurse waved her hand in front of a sensor and doors open up Star Trek style. I was led into a larger and brighter room with a dentists chair and the lady asks me "what kind of music do you like?"
Surprised, I said "ummm,..rock I guess." She tells me to name a band. "Tool," I blurt out. She walks over to a opening in the wall and I see her scrolling through an Ipod. Music starts at a level that isn't loud but just right to set the mood. At the exact moment I realize the laughing gas has REALLY kicked in, Dr. Koos enters the room and gives me props for my choice of music. I returned the props for his excellent timing. We talked and laughed. I felt a slight pinch in my arm a couple seconds later I guess I was out because the next thing I know a different Tool song is playing and it was over. I was given a bag of stuff with a script for Vicodin. I was on my way.
Literally painlesss! Wow! Dr. Koos...you rule! If you have read this far you are probably past due to get your wisdom teeth removed. Now, it's time check out his website (don't forget to click on "media and watch a video") or just make the call.

I felt that I just had to share what a wonderful experience I had with Dr. Koos at ORA Oral Surgery & Implant Studio with others. I am not typically a review writer, although I always look at them and felt that it was about time that I start contributing. I had been somewhat suffering with dentures for over a decade and wasn't enjoying the foods that I used to and also my confidence in my smile had really suffered. I was recommended to see Dr. Koos for a new procedure called All-on-4, where four dental implants are used to secure a full row of teeth and miraculously all in one appointment! Why didn't I find him sooner! I had been to see several other oral surgeons in Chicago, but none had been experienced in this dental implant technique. Thank you Dr. Koos and to your whole team for taking such good care of me and removing all the fear that I had. I can now eat anything that I like, feel 20 years younger and have truly re-discovered my big joyful smile again.

My dentist had been reminding me to get my wisdom teeth removed for a few years now and I thought since they were not bothering me then everything was still OK. Well I was WAY wrong. Suddenly one day I woke up swollen and in a ton of pain. I Googled Oral Surgeons in Chicago and was very lucky to come across Dr. Koos and ORA Oral Surgery & Implant Studio and they were able to get me in right away and I couldn't be happier. The office is an amazing experience and seriously blows away any other office I have been to - it is more like a cool, hip lounge like Epic or Sepia. Dr. Koos' bedside manner is warm and soothing too. He showed me on a 3D x-ray how my wisdom teeth had pushed into the molars next to them and they had big cavities under the gum and they couldn't be saved. So much for waiting to get my wisdom teeth out -BUMMER! So after a smooth sedation and easy recovery I am unfortunately out 6 teeth instead of 4. I am now going to get 2 dental implants here for sure. Thanks!
