Provided by YP.comI've been coming to the galley for over 7 years now. Love the fact that when you walk into the Galley, you kind of get the feeling of being at Cheers where everyone knows your name and makes you feel welcomed.

Provided by YP.comI come here often and always enjoy myself. The bands have all been good, the food is OK, and the waitress is as nice and competent as they come.

Provided by YP.comI go here often because of the maritime ambience and it's location next to the Chula Vista Marina. Their Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday "all you can eat" dinner specials are great, inexpensive and taste really good. They have a live band at night and the bar (and bartenders) are superb as are the whole staff. Fran Muncie, the owner is like family.

Provided by YP.comWe came here for three things, an awesome view, fish and chips and beer. I am happy to report we not only found them, we found excellent selections in each category! Their fish and chips was the perfect blend of light airy fluffy beer batter, French fries perfect, great selection of beer and a super cool, very beautiful spot to sit and just be.

Provided by YP.comGreat for a get away from work... sit outside, see the boats. Good burgers and the blackened snapper is awesome.

Provided by YP.comThere are four seating areas. We most always sit on the patio which is covered and closed in with Plexiglas on one side, while open to the outside on one end. That area can get chilly on colder days, but they can easily place a heater close to your table. The bar area has a TV. and a neighborhood pub like charm. A smallish, cozy indoor dining room has a nice large fireplace and the fire is frequently lit. Lastly there is a screened in room with a small area set aside for the band (which plays about 4 nights per week), as well as for dancing. Pleasant nautical, coastal motif all over.

Provided by YP.comSpent a weekend at the marina, and ate here 3 times. Breakfast was nice, but the fish and chips were excellent. So good, I had some for lunch then went back for a late dinner and had them again. The lunch serving was just right, but the dinner serving was humongous! (Priced accordingly) They have music at night, and quite good at that. Great outdoor seating in 2 areas, both with good views but with indoor seating as well for a more laid back quiet meal. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. Good service as well.

Provided by YP.comBefore or after eating, you should take a stroll through Bayside Park alongside the bay (swimming is allowed) and out onto the pier. Fishing off the pier will get you mostly bass and an occasional 4-5' leopard shark or a bat ray. The park is super clean, nicely landscaped and well-manicured. I prefer it on weekdays (very peaceful)...it can get a bit too crowded on weekends.

Provided by YP.comWe have been coming here for over 20 years. Whenever we have a free afternoon this is where we go for lunch or an early dinner. Great selection to choose from and the food and service are always outstanding. We seldom if ever sit inside since the patio and marina view offers a great place to relax and enjoy sunny San Diego.

Provided by YP.comService has always been prompt, friendly, attentive and courteous. I can't vouch much for the food, because (unbelievably) all I ever get here is the clam chowder which is always on the menu or their sausage Cajun type gumbo whenever it is on the menu as the soup of the day. Both are consistently delicious. And then I get any one of their four desserts which are always fantabulous and humongous. The tasty whipped cream they use is unique and unlike any I've ever tasted in that it is so extremely light and airy in texture that it literally dissolves the second it enters your mouth - well in mine anyway. Prices are well within reason, with a different nicely priced special every day. I'm pretty sure those daily specials are listed on their website.

Provided by YP.comWe had breakfast here yesterday, and as usual the meal and service were great. Breakfast menu has many items that are reasonable priced. Dog friendly makes another plus. You will not be disappointed.

Provided by YP.comGreat music when Jerry Gontang is performing. Get the fried veggies with ranch dressing. Come early for a great seat to watch / listen to the music. Beer is good and cold. Certainly a must visit for all those that love to dine outdoors near the water.

Provided by YP.comWe're staying at the Chula Vista RV resort and we went over for a lite dinner and drinks one night and found it to be quite good. Food is good, although the cole slaw dressing was too sweet the fish and chips were excellent, portions were good and the prices were affordable. The bartender was excellent, very busy but spot on with service.

Provided by YP.comChula Vista is about 10 miles south of San Diego. While harbor establishments can be crowded with tourists, this is more "locals" - the marina is in a nice harborside park. There was entertainment and a nice seating area overlooking the anchored boats. It is outside but covered to deflect wind/breezes. The fish tacos were the best we tasted on our trip. Food service was slow - but it was a busy night. Good bar - full service. While mainly adults, there were families enjoying the restaurant.

Provided by YP.comAlways enjoy going to the Galley any night, but weekends have live music. The crowd usually is older but still goes out and dances. Thursdays all you can eat fish and chips (but I can only eat 3 pieces-very large). Overlooks the marina.

Provided by YP.comYUM! Never overcooked, always tender, juicy and flavorful. Matthew, Cory & Dave are the best! My friend and I will sit down and our drink order is put before us before we say a word.

Provided by YP.comMy friend and I go the Galley every other weekend (when Joey & the Stingrays are playing). We haven't had a bad experience there yet.

Provided by YP.comTheir service was outstanding, food was great, could not have gone to any better of a place to spend New Year’s Eve. Fantastic music. I really recommend coming here.

Provided by YP.comThe wait staff is extremely friendly and always attentive. It is amazing to watch how those girls work. In a normal restaurant a server may have a five to eight table section but these girls take on sections three times the average and bravo for them.
