Provided by YP.comThe class is well worth it. I had no knowledge of handling a gun: never held one, saw one or shot one before but the crew at Concealed Carry Courses made being at the ranage so easy. I had the best ten hours in the classroom with Srgt. Mark and Instructor Kim. Once we got to the range, I did not have a gun, but I was able to qualify with one of their .22s. Once eveyone had qualifed (or not which I believe was only one person, but she was a very elderly old woman) there was extra shooting time where I was allowed to shoot two 45s, a 40 cal, glock 9 and an AR 15. With no prior experience I put three holes in a metal plate a 100 yds away from the great range insturctors. Would recommend Concealed Carry Courses to anyone who is looking to get their CCW. I called other places that were not as friendly, costed more and one guy told me it would take two months to get my certificate...got it in two days with Concealed Carry.

Provided by YP.comi started my search for concealed carry classes online... as most of us do. Kim at Concealed Carry Courses website caught my attention because it is owned and run by current and former Marines. if i wanted training, they sounded like the people i should learn from!
and i made the right choice.
i learned SO much during the 10 hours of class just on personal safety (that didn't include a gun) that i knew just those hours were time well spent.
i'm a novice. i had only shot a revolver for the first time about 3 weeks ago, so i went into this course barely knowing anything about guns or gun safety.
i'm "book smart" but not very "street smart" so i was really worried about passing the shooting portion of the course but every person was assigned an Instructor to guide them through and i have to admit... i had fun!
if you're looking to REALLY learn about guns and safety and just not looking for an easy way to get your permit, this is the class for you. most of the other placed you can go are only concerned that you can shoot straight.
the Marines at Concealed Carry Courses make sure you can shoot right handed AND left handed in case of emergency!
you won't be disappointed...

Provided by YP.comThis course is a MUST especially for females. Kim and his staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Even if you never plan on carrying a gun the information you learn for personal safety is worth it!!
Thank you so very much...I now have piece of mind!!

Provided by YP.comI wholeHEARTedly recommend Sgt. Rodeker's CCW Course to every adult in Cuy Co., particularly women, homeowners, and the Disabled (like me). ALL aspects of the training program at CCW.com were highly educational and informative, and the shooting-range experience was simply the most fun I've had this year, despite the seriousness of the subject at hand.
Both the NRA home-study manuals and the classroom course provided a wealth of useful information on the issues involving gun ownership, and the drawbacks and dangers involved as well as the benefits. Whether or not you decide to claim your Permit and own a gun,
the entire course provides a realistic education in gun ownership and handling, and legal do's-n-dont's, The
Marines on the shooting range were all 1st-Class instructors - patient, friendly, and able to train anyone - I saw a man in a wheelchair win his certificate! It was an exciting and invigorating experience for me to learn shooting from Sgt. Workman, and after I won my certificate, we parted with a full military salute! What I did not see enough of was WOMEN in the class - women being stalked or abused at home, or women with restraining orders out, need this class more than anyone! Don't hesitate a minute ladies, the brilliant Sgt Rodeker and his staff of trained ex-Marines provide a 1st-Class experience from beginning to end.

Provided by YP.comCould not have asked for better instructors! Kim and Mark explain in detail everything you need to know in class. They make sure everyone understands and teaches real life scenarios. They're easy to get along and joke with, and I highly recommend staying late on range day. They'll give you some extra 1 on 1 training and they may just pull out some of the big guns! Best group of Marines I've ever met and I'm recommending them to everyone I know!

Provided by YP.comKim and his staff were professional and well trained. I would, and have, recommended this course to all my friends. I think this should be a mandatory class for all who have a gun in the house. If you are shopping around for CCW classes, GO NO WHERE ELSE. You will not get the one on one range time that many people need. It was great to see Kim and his staff truly care about our safety and how we handle ourselves around firearms. Thank you Kim for a great experience!

Provided by YP.comTook the CCW class in Feb. 2010, I wasn't sure I could do this, but the instructors Mark and Kim were great!!!! The classes were extremely informative in every aspect of gun handling, and laws. There was never any hesitation on the instructors part to answer any questions, and to make sure that we all understood what was being taught. The one on one range time happened just as promised. I would recommend this class to anyone who is considering having a CCW, you will learn alot. Thanks Kim and Mark

Provided by YP.comI took the course with my two sons on Feb. 13th and Feb. 14th. The course was very thorough. I liked taking the test beforehand to familarize with all areas from how to safely handle a gun to self defense techniques.
I really learned more than I expected and got a much better appreciation for the people who protect us and our country as I found it was not just all about having that license. It's much more and a lot of responsiblity.
They had some great instructors at the shooting range who I am pretty sure were
former active military or actual active military that serves in the area.
The instructors where awesome. I never even shot a gun before and their patience and respect meant a lot to me.
I am sixty three years old and never dreamed to do this but saw the need as our society is changing a bit and it's good to be prepared.
Anyway, I found this to be a good experience, I learned so much and saw that I will have to follow up with more practice and even classes.
The course ended on Valentines Day and I must say it was one of the best Valentines Days I ever had. With my kids and with some great veterans and active duty guys who I was honored to have been taught by them.

Provided by YP.comThis class was terrific for both me & my Wife. She has never really handeled a hand gun before & I have for 20 + yrs, we both found the class to be extremely good for both of us. I would recommened this class to anyone who carries or will be carring a firearm. Or even if you don't think you ever will it would be a good class just to know if you ever found a weapon by mistake what to do.

Provided by YP.comI was hesitant with taking a concealed class but with police layoffs I was afraid that there is going to be an increase in crime. If someone breaks in my house or robs me, what am i going to do? Sure I can call 911 but by the time they come, I could be dead. I made the call to concealed class and they answered all my questions throughly and I decided to sign up for the class. If you are a beginner like me, then I recommend taking a class with concealed carry. I have learned alot from this class. The things they go through with you in class will help save your life. The videos they show and the lectures they give is very informative and they will not waste your time at all.
At the range, you shoot one on one with an instructor. The instructors are former Marines. I have never fired a gun before and the instructor showed me what to do. The instructors really do care about your safety and they will not put you in harms way. As a beginner, I shot a little over 50 rounds. Its not a shoot 10 rounds thing and your done. The instructors want to make sure that you are shooting properly and get the proper technique.

Provided by YP.comI went through the chl course with Kim & Mark in their early days and I can say without a doubt in my mind that, these two gentlemen know their business. As they state all training at the the range and qualification is handled one on one as it should be! Their attention to details and high standards define the training, they will make you a better marksmen.
As a plus these two gentlemen are of impeccable character and background as is evident of the current cadre of instructors.

Provided by YP.comThe Instructors are dedicated to the students. The one on one time they claim is very true. All of the class room questions were answered in detail Sgt. Mark King and Sgt. Kim Rodecker made sure the student understood. The Range time was even more educational. These guys take shooting very seriously and made sure all of us understood what they were explaining and why. Thank you for taking the time with us.

Provided by YP.comAs a single female living alone I decided to get my Dad's 38 special out and learn how to use it! I felt way out of my comfort zone but "hung in there" and passed the course, both on the range & the written test. Mark King, the instructor along with Kim Rodecker where great. Mark was entertaining as well. My Range instructor, Glen, was the best! Thanks guys - I will recommend to friends!

Provided by YP.comSgt. Kim Rodecker (owner and chief instrutor) and Sgt. Mark King provide a truly OUTSANDING CCW learning experience, both in the classrooom and on the range. All affiliated instructors at Concealed Carry Courses are former Marines, and no one knows guns and self protection in dangerous situations and under fire better than the United States Marines!
After discussing various CCW classes with family and friends who have attended elsewhere, I realize how much more complete and in depth Concealed Carry Courses is by comparison. In addition, the clean classroom has very comfortable chairs and lectures are both engaging and relevant, alternating with NRA issued videos. Time moved quickly with periodic breaks. Coffee and soda are provided, free of charge, plus there is a lunch break with numerous fast food restaurants within walking distance. Wendy's is right next door.
I signed up for my classes this past Wednesday, Sept. 16, as a brand new gun owner who had never fired a weapon. By Sunday, I knew how to store, care for and properly handle a gun, how to buy ammunition, and when the use of lethal force is both lawful and appropriate. Kim and Mark make absolutely certain that all questions are answered and that everyone understands the required written material. My class was very diverse, ranging from former military to a first time gun user (me). On the range, our instructors individulaized a plan for each student and taught us proper technique, positions, aiming and skills for reloading under fire. It was fantastic! Sgt. Rodecker took me from complete inexperience to the point where I was able to hit the designated kill zones with very few strays.
As if all this were not enough, the cost is LESS than charged elsewhere. At this time, individuals pay $110 and two or more signing up together pay $90 each. If you do not own a gun, one will be provided for your use at the range, free of charge, with only a small $5.00 fee for ammunition. Could it get any better? YES! If you do not pass a portion of the test, you can retake it at a later date for free. This includes the shooting range.
Learn from the best of the best...Concealed Carry Courses.
