Excellent food, I would recommend them!

Bluebonnet is supposed to be the greatest but I thought it was only medicore at best. I had the tamales and they were grossly too thick and the chips we "old style" meaning thick and kind of chewy and worse, cold. The hot sauce did make up for it and was surprising very good. The place is packed all the time so people in Denver must think different than a native Texan on what good Mx. food is.

They have an outstanding Gluten free menu, and are so aware of the allergy. They even bring all the gluten free food out on a seperate plate to make sure they track it properly. The service is wonderful, the drinks are never low, the smiles never stop coming and they are not bothersome about it. There are some things I wish they would offer for my husband who can eat Gluten until the cows come home, like soft relleno's and mojito's... but other than that Its a great place to grab a meal and relax and enjoy.

Seated us (2) right away even though we were waiting for two more couples to arrrive. Awesome Guacamole. Chili relleno was very good. The sauces had a nice blend of flavors without being to hot. Great margarita. Everyone was very nice and made us (party of 6) feel at home and not rushing us to leave when we were done eating even though it was busy. Wish is was closer to where we live. AAA+ to go for great food.

Good Meat Tacos but bad service

I had always heard it was a great mexican resturarant. I was dissapointed Reminded me of a cafeteria.

Blue Bonnet has some of the worst Mexican Food I have ever eaten. Its so bland, its a wonder why the place is packed with people. Do they not know what real Mexican Food tastes like??? Blue Bonnet food tastes like a cheap cheap microwave dinner. I dont recommend this place to anyone who visits Denver, wouldnt want them to think this is how we cook here.

I DID NOT like the food at blue bonnet..a friend kept insisting i go try their food...and i thought it was horrible...it is not traditional tex-mex nor was it traditional mexican food. it was like eating a taco bell..wanna beee mexican food. we had a party of 12 and evryone left there dissapointed.the staff was wonderful and great place to have beers and hang out! just DO NOT eat there!

Sorry, but I don't find much thrilling in the food here -- it could use some spicing up. On the other hand, the back room is a nice spot for a casual gathering. Margaritas are solid.

Fun time for getting together with friends and enjoying margs and good food. Can get crowded, might expect a wait.

I can't say enough about this place. Great food and fast service. The chips, salsa and queso are tasty!!! They should open more locations!

Blue Bonnet is the place to go when you are really craving a margarita or an upbeat happy-hour location. Lots of choices, flavors and pleasant staff. I wish I could be as complimentary about the food. My chicken burrito was rubbery, bland and cold. It could have been an off night, but Blue Bonnet just did not seem to be trying very hard in the kitchen.

Good food and good service. A great place to meet friends.
