Doral Lincoln Mercury was the ...

Doral Lincoln Mercury was the best experience I have ever had at a car dealership. I shopped around at many, many car dealerships before going there. I got there 15 minutes before they closed and the sales staff was more then willing to help me find a car. There was NO pushing of any sort. I told them my budget and the car I were looking for. They worked with me one-on-one and 45 min to an hour later after filling out all the paper work, I walked out of there with the car I wanted at a great price. The sales staff was very friendly and not pushy, I definitely recommend people to go and shop here, I know that I will again.

Buyer beware

Honestly, I wish that I would have read these reviews before buying a car, because they are completely accurate.

I just purchased a used BMW from this location. The price was competitive, but when I checked the car out through a friend, he noticed that there were three leaks. The oil and coolant leaks were fairly inexpensive, but the stabilizing bar would cost $1,400.

I was promised that they would fix any and all leaks, but the mechanic conveniently could not find any leaks other than at the oil filter. What made matters even worse is that when I picked up the car (after waiting yet another hour), the warning light was on stating that the oil level was dangerously low. How in the world can you repair an oil leak and not check the oil level? Also, how hard is it to have a car ready when I gave them two days notice of when I would arrive?

My friend even has pictures of the leaks to prove the need for repair. The only possible explanation is that the sales and repair shop are in agreement to overlook any repair over a few dollars.

One other thing to add is that almost everyone at the location seems to be clueless when you call or arrive. My salesman was actually a nice guy and I hope that he finds a more reputable company to work for.

Normally, I would not waste the time on writing a review and I will get over the inconvenience very quickly. However, the lack of integrity regarding this transaction will result in a complaint to the the Better Business Bureau and the State of Florida. For anyone considering buying a car, do not make any purchase without taking it to a mechanic. If there is any damage, reduce the amount from the sales price and never get your car repaired by them. I hope that this helps.

Unacceptable customer service, liars and disorganized

Everything was fine up until my wife signed the contract for her new car... the dam thing broke THE NEXT DAY... it went to the shop twice and the second time it has been there for 3 weeks... the best response I get after pissing off everybody there is "NO UPDATES TODAY, CHECK TOMORROW".

3 weeks to fix a problem.

Plus, I was told the extended insurance was bumper to bumpber, it doesn't cover convertible top and it carries a deductable!!! nobody told me about deductable... why pay 3 grand on repair insurance if you have to ditch 100 bucks everytime you use it!!!!!!!! they hide information to be able to sell.

I had more than 5 different people try to help me solve the case, even email sent to the owner asking for help: NOTHING. that tells me it's rotten from the top.

DONT BUY A CAR THERE!!!

Avoid this Dealership - Poor Customer Service, Dishonest Practices, Failure to do Due Diligence

10/25/2010 Good price - Zero intregrity - Bold faced lies - Failure to do due diligence - Not recommended.

Can I give zero stars? If I could, I would.

I recently bought a car from Doral. I was attracted by the price.

Pros:

__The salesman seemed friendly and made the buying process easy.

__The price on the vehicle was reasonable compared to others on the market.

__In house financing was easy with a good rate and quick setup.

Cons:

__After buying a car on October 2, after 30 days, the payoff on my traded remains uppaid

__Repearted calls from October 14th were not returned.

__After finally speaking to a finance officer on Oct 20th, he indicated that "a payment was made on a Monday (Oct 18)..." but the payment is yet to be applied. They also sent me a payment advice (as "proof") but the payment advice was dated Oct 20th, not October 18th or the date of the original sale, October 2nd. The payoff amount on the payment advice matches the payoff amount as of Oct 20 (according to my bank), not October 18th or the date of the original sale, October 2nd. (My suspicion is that the finance office dropped the ball and never took payment action.)

__The finance office did not return any of my calls.

__I never received a copy of all of my contracts.

__The dealer never etched my windows as per the contract.

__The salesman, who promised to have the finance office call me, also failed to follow thru.

__After reviewing all of my files, I have not received copies of all contracts due me.

__Clearly, someone at Doral is not telling the truth.

Action I've taken in addition to repeated calls:

__Oct 20, I filed a complaint with the State Attorneys General office. That case is pending.

__Oct 20, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That case is also pending.

Update, Nov 1:

__I spoke to the General manager, who promised to have everything straightened out. He indicated that my payoff was received today (Nov 1) and should post within 24 hours, 29 days AFTER the close of sale and 13 days after the finance office indicated the payment was originally processed.

__ To add insult to injury, I received a call from their finance office indicating that they never transferred the tags from my old car. They also promised to have this straightened out my Nov 3. We'll see.

I'll update this later as this continues to unfold, but, that said, here's

my advice?

Update, Nov 4:

__I actually had to drive back to Doral to have the above issues straightened out, which, I'm happy to say, were finally corrected. That said, my advice below remains:

Avoid Doral Lincoln Mercury!! They dropped the ball at EVERY turn and failed to accept responsiblity until the very end. After waisting my time, my money, and risking my credit rating, I can clearly say that this is NOT a business I recommend to anyone else.

dishonest

I have never had such bad and dishonest service in my life. My ending results from them made me cry "really". They tell you one thing and then another and another and another.
