I've had my experiences with lousy doctors over the years. It's refreshing when you find a really good one. Dr Tan is one of those doctors. I would highly recommend Dr Tan to anyone that requires oral surgery. He knows his stuff about anything to do with oral surgery. He listens to his patients. He just really has a good doctor patient relationship. Good doctors are hard to find and when you find one like Dr Tan you stick with him.

I was nervous at first but Dr. Tan was very welcoming and soothed all nerves easily. He made conversation and is fun to talk to and distracts from all the needles that may scare other people. Guided me in all the right directions to lead me to a successful recovery and had minimal pain the day after. I was back on track to normal schedule three days after surgery with no problems. I would recommend Dr. Tan and his staff to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Tan has been wonderful for our family. We have had two of our children go through the process of wisdom teeth removal with him. He saw us through from beginning to end with the highest level of professionalism and thorough care. He was clear in his explanations and always to time to make sure we were comfortable before proceeding. A consummate professional and a kind man. Thank you very much!!

Dr. Tan and his staff were pleasant and spent time explaining exactly what would happen and why. Even though I was apprehensive about the extractions, they made me feel comfortable and it turned out being a great experience.

Quick procedure, not much pain afterwards, swelling went down in a few days

Dr Tan and his staff are by far the most professional and caring individuals I had the need to have a tooth pulled and I was extremely pleased with the manner it was handled I have never been to a practice with such a caring doctor and staff. It was actually an experience I thought might be painful but there was no pain at all He brings such kindness to his work and his ways were gentle and refreshing. Believe me I am so sorry to see that he is leaving for retirement, he will be missed. Thank you so much for your time, care and true understanding of how patients feel when having procedures done and expecting pain but with you there was NO pain and you explained everything and made me feel you truly cared.

I came to Dr. Tan with the need for a dental implant. He patiently explained the entire process to me and the office set up my appointment. The procedure went very well and I required an additional follow-up surgery. Dr. Tan is clearly an expert in his field and I am grateful that he was responsible for my care.

I have had to have 2 implants done. Dr Tan explained everything in full and in layman's terms so i could understand what would take place. I could not be happier with mid-maryland oral. The staff is very friendly and very professional they make you feel like family. thank you everyone.

My experience with Dr. Tan went well. At first, he seemed to be a little closed off and not too friendly, but I quickly realized that he is just a professional man. When I had difficulties healing, he was very punctual and acted immediately to resolve my problems. Being able to communicate via phone was very effective, because we were able to stop an infection in my mouth. During our follow up appointment, he was extremely nice and I am glad he was my doctor. I am not a fan of the dentist, and I have a fairly weak tolerance for pain, but Dr. Tan acted quickly to make me more comfortable.

I decided to have Exparel used with the extraction to help with the pain, and as a result I didn't need to use the prescribed opiate at all. Ibuprofen was enough to make the pain manageable over the few days afterwards. It still wasn't a pain free recovery but much better than I expected!
