Provided by YP.comI was so impressed with the care we received from Packerland Clinic from Dr Mansfield and staff. My former vet retired. I thought my cat had to be put down and called to make an appt. They asked if I'd like to meet with a vet for an opinion first and I definetely did in case she had been misdiagnosed. When we arrived they had a room all set up for us and took us right in. After three hours with Dr Mansfield (over her lunch hour too), she suspected a different diagnosis than what we thought. Long story short, we took our cat home and she responded to antibiotics within a few days. Now two weeks later, she seems to be on a total road to recovery. Dr Mansfield was always aware of cost and discussed the most sensible options we could take. We are so pleased with this clinic. She called me at home twice to discuss the progress and shared in my joy! Looks like we have our cat (who is only seven) healthy again.

Provided by YP.comThe entire staff-receptionists, technicains & doctors are very caring & informative. Dr. Rosen explained in easy terms Abbie's condition & an easy way to give her pills. Even thought there are closer clinics, I'll stay with Packerland.

Provided by YP.comHad a great experience switching to this vet. Prices were comparable with my previous vet, but they offer far more. We get vaccines there, but now grooming also. When my dog was hit by a car they were great taking care of him and Dr. Dunbar fixed his leg back to perfect. Will be forever grateful for finding them!

Provided by YP.comI feel that they did an outstanding job caring for my both my cat and dog. They are very good about following up to let me know everything is fine with my pets ( when they've had to have surgeries or tests).

Provided by YP.comDon't go. I have gone there for many years with mixed experiences including one time they refused to put down my suffering cat and I had to find another vet to put her to sleep ( she was very ill and dying but there was not room in their schedule. Brown County Vet MADE room although we weren't their client) After an apology I returned. They had some good vets then, all of whom have left. We stayed until recently when we found a tiny stray kitten on a road up north. Brought her in and her leg was badly shattered. They said it would cost a ton of money just to amputate it. We didn't have it. I begged them for some help in saving the kitten. No go. Found a lovely and caring vet in Marinette ( Town and Country) who repaired the leg with a pinning procedure (supposedly cost over $2200-2400 at Packerland so we had not even considered it) and gave her shots and worming all for less than Packerland wanted to cut her leg off! Yes they are clean, and they are semingly competent- but I don't think they really care and there are vets who are just as good and are less about the $$$$
Yes, we did quote this client for an amputation, only because she said she could never afford to "fix" the leg. We do a ton of work for local organizations such as Happily Ever After, Saving Paws, and Menominee Animal Shelter (to name only a few). We are also the only clinic in the area that helps out local shelters in showcasing and adopting out strays for them. If we were capable of "fixing" every stray that people take in we would not be able to keep our doors open. We get hundreds of calls a year asking for "free services" - we had to choose which organizations we could help. In helping these organizations we feel we are doing the whole community a service versus one or two families. Town and Country is a super clinic and we work very closely with them as they refer to our clinic very regularly. I commend them for helping this family as I understand what a sacrifice it is to cut prices and/or give away free services - specially during this hard economic time. In the end, I am elated that the kitten got proper medical treatment, regardless of where it happened.

Provided by YP.comI took my dog to Packerland because they were close to where I live in Howard. The place was big clean and there was a lot of staff which to me felt like "this is gonna cost." My dog which was a rescue dog, had a severe urinary problem. He had to pee all the time, couldn't hold it, and would pee in the house all over. PVC kept giving me worst case scenarios and gave me the option of some tests and medicine or surgery....which they strongly recommended...to the tune of a minimum of $1500, I decided to first try the meds which did not help and was told he needed the surgery.
Something just didn't seem right, so we took him to Veterinary House Calls in Pulaski. It is a small town clinic and Dr. Pam also...if you can believe it...makes house calls. She put him on anibiotics, special food and a medicine he must take daily. He is doing great! That was about two years ago. She runs tests periodically and somehow the bill is never that much.
Packerland is clean and the staff for the most part are nice, but they are expensive and try to push expensive care on you. I also never saw the same doctor. I like to know the doctor my "boys" see.

Provided by YP.com1st of all I had a clients dog fall of the table and our local vet sent them to packerland to fix the problem which was a tendon in the back leg. This vet convinced the client because of there high prices they were the best. I had another vet in clintonville give us an estimate of the same surgery and guess what? We Care Animal Hospital of Clintonville could do this same procedure for 1400.00 cheeper thats right 1400.00 cheeper. I would not recommend this vet practice if you don't have a lot of money to pay all his staff and other doctors on hand if you don't have to. Dr Albert Prudom has a wonderful small practice and can beat these guys prices buy over a thousand dollars on surgerys. Also grooming prices are abolutely rediculous I think people need to wake up and start shopping around because Packerland vet clinic is out of this world with there pricing.

Provided by YP.comMy first impression of Packerland Veterinary Center was that it was a large, clean facility with friendly staff. When they discovered fleas on our dog, however, it was as though they had discovered that she was infected with leprosy or ebola. They exchanged disdainful looks and would not allow us to check out at the front desk for fear that our small dog would spread fleas throughout the building. Having spent the last ten years living in Texas and Louisiana, where fleas on dogs are the norm even when using Frontline (which worked for about a week after each application, not the full month advertised), the haughty attitude at Packerland Veterinary Center really took me aback. The following day we reserved kennel space for our dog at Packerland, as we had to go out of town but were concerned that the shot updates our dog had received had left her listless and in pain. We thought the best place for her to stay would be at the vet where they had her chart and could address any problems. After we had already made the reservations, however, the vet called us to say they would not be able to take our dog due to her fleas. I protested that I had just given her a flea bath the previous night, but to no avail. It would seem that a veterinarian would be able to handle a case of fleas, but not this place.... At no time did they even offer to treat the fleas! I think they were just annoyed that I turned down their hard-sell tactics to sell me Frontline at my previous visit.
