I was scared to buy a car...after many failed attempts at getting financing at different lots from new to extremely used (82nd street...yes I felt I had to stoop that low) and even another Tonkin dealership....Gresham hyundai came through for me...is my interest rate low...no but I know what my credit looks like...did I have to put some money down...yes but it's better than driving an unreliable car that I had to buy off Craigslist or offer up. I got MORE than I asked for. Was treated with respect and caring. I made an excellent car dealers AND new friends. I will never buy a car from anyone other than Gresham hyundai--Dale, Brian and the finance manager (sorry spent so little time with you I can't remember your name)...you guys made up for all the rest of the bad sales guys...YOU ARE AWESOME!

I had the pleasure to work with Shawn Laird, Cameron, Tanner in sales and Kelly Lambert in Finance. I was in and out within an hour once I got to the dealership. I did most everything over the phone with Cameron and Shawn. I have terrible credit plus a recent repossession and they still found me a finance company to work with me and the vehicle they found me was over the top in value, looks and comfort! I appreciate all the love and care all the guys showed my family in this car buying experience!! Thank you all for such an Awesome experience!! I will only deal with Ron Tonkin!!

We bought a new Hyundai Veracruz SUV on Sunday from Jim(sales) and then returned on Tuesday to buy another new car, an Accent and were helped by Tanner (sales), because Jim was off for the day. After finding out my 2003 Santa Fe was not fixable, with excellent service by Kevin in the Service Dept, I was in and out in 4 hours (that's an incredible short amount of car buying time) with a new 2013 Elantra sedan. Tanner was so enjoyable and easy to work with. The financing was easy. There was no pressure to purchase extras that I did not want. These guys seem to know what "No, thank you" means unlike some car dealers I've worked with before. It's all in the attitude folks. Thanks Kevin, Tanner, and Ron Tonkin Hyundai. I cant believe I am saying this, It has been a very enjoyable experience wiht both my car purchases at Ron Tonkin, all within a period of 6 months. Aside from the great deal, great support, flexibility, and no hassle, and no pressure process, what amazed me was that I did it all over the net. The first one was for the 2012 Sonata and the 2nd one for the 2013 Elantra. Tanner worked with me, we agreed on the price, he delivered, I signed and that was it. I highly recommend his dealership and Tanner for the great experience. No nonesense, straight-forward pricing, and efficient car purchasing experience.

Thanks to Dale Goodson, my experience in trading in my cars and getting a great new KIA OPTIMA within my budget was pretty easy. Many thanks to Kelly Lambert and the rest of the Tonkin Hyundai gang for helping me drive home a brand new Elantra last Sunday. They kept working with me until I had the car I wanted at a price I could afford. For someone who hasen't owned a car in nearly 15 years - and has never bought 'new', the whole experience exceeded my expectations. What a great Christmas present !

We have been looking at purchasing a new Elantra for about a year but have been dreading having to negotiate a sale price and a trade-in value for our existing vehicle. Ron Tonkin had a large selection of Elantras at a great price online. Before we drove the 25 miles to the dealership I emailed explaining what we were wanting for on our trade-in and a sale price. We were pleasantly surprised by the quick response from the Sales Associate Gary and his willingness to work with us. I was still skeptical and thought for sure there would be restrictions or exclusions once we got there but Gary let us pick our vehicle from their great selection, test drive it, then got our paperwork going and we were on our way! What I was told on the phone was exactly what I was offered at the dealership. I still was not sure I believed it was that easy even as we drove away in our new car. We went to Ron Tonkin because we had heard of their good business practices. We went looking for a new Hyundai Elantra Limited. We had been speaking to Tanner over the internet . He was very .quick to get back to us with answers of questions we asked. Tanner knew what we were looking for and we had a trade in and got a very fair price for it. We purchased a 2012 Elantra Limited. It is exactly what we were looking for and drove eit home that night. Went around to all the Hyundai Dealership from Beaverton to Milwaukie to Gresham....most the dealers had one low priced advertised car with really basic options and the rest of the cars would jump $2K with all options. Ron Tonkin Hyundai actually had the inventory range from basic to full options so I can have the price point I wanted. After test driving some cars, I choose the Elantra and love it!!! The oil filter is easy to change, the power up the hills feel like a V6 without the gas price tag, and the gas mileage is amazing in the city and the highway! I recommend Tanner Vannett when you go to Ron Tonkin, he's honest and isn't too pushy.

I saw an ad for a base 2012 Sonata GLS from a competing dealer in Saturday's paper for what was a very low price compared to any others I could find in the Portland area. I began an email and phone exchange with a salesman at Tonkin Sunday morning, ending with a phone call from Steve Earley, the sales manager, with a price that was very attractive, essentially the same price as the 2011 Camry. When I got to the dealership, I worked with salesman Kelly, a very personable young man who took me for a test drive. When we returned, Mr. Earley came to me with a price sheet that was over $1200 more than the phone quote, even though he fully remembered our conversation two days earlier. He also offered me only $250 for my trade-in. He claimed they'd be losing $1400 if they gave me the car for the phone quote price. After resistance on my part, the general mgr interceded and I got the car for the original price quoted. Kelly was a joy to deal with and made the overall experience tolerable.

We had identified the Elantra Touring as the right car for my daughter's graduation gift: practical wagon/hatchback with good fuel economy, good reliability ratings from Consumer Reports, and good looks. The service from salesman Steve Burke was excellent, and the finance department was kind enough to let me get a few thousand miles on my credit card to go with my cash payment. A low stress experience and the best advertised price in the region. Thanks again.

I just bought a 2009 Subaru Legacy from Ron Tonkin Hyundai in Gresham, and I must say, it was one of the easiest purchase/trade-in's I've ever experienced. Dale was my sales rep and he was very personable. We had the usual negotiating process, but they ended up giving me top value for my car, and they had the car I bought listed $4K below Kelley Blue Book, so I consider that a very good deal. I also had dinner plans that night and was running late. I couldn't believe how fast they were able to get thru the process, insurance verified, etc, and out the door with my new car! We were only 30 minutes late for my reservation at Jakes, who, by the way, held our table! So, all in all, it was a great experience!

You seem to be in the minority with your review. Not sure why that is but my experience was very easy and quick.
