I've been to a lot salons in the area, but now Im only going to the Octagon. Kaye does my hair and nails, I always look great, and I get so many compliments! I feel like Im at home, everyone is so nice, great customer service.

First off, my stylist **Renni** is the best stylist I have ever had. I have very difficult hair to cut and style not to mention that I am probably one the pickiest people and most demanding out there. I like perfection and Renni delivers it to me each time. Whenever I come in I'm greeted with a huge smile and an urgency to get started on my hair. Precision and expertise are two words that I would best describe Renni as a stylist. I promise that anyone who goes to her will leave EXTREMELY SATISFIED!



Second, Octagon Spa is one the cleanest and most professional facilities that you will go to. The staff is very friendly and prompt too!

I went for a haircut last thursday with Kira; between her and Jeanell, they spent almost 2 hours with me and totally got the look I wanted - a complete makeover. The next day at work everybody was oohing and ahhing over my new look! I was so excited I had to call Jeanell to say THANKS!! It was worth the price of admission just to FEEL GREAT all day! The new me on the outside is now an accurate reflection of the real me on the inside. Thanks Kira, I'll see you again! This was a bargain all the way.

I have been going to Octagon for 5 yrs and Vicki and her assistant Kira are great! Vicki is great with color, cuts and extensions! Vicki is also great at being able to adapt to my needs and give me different haircuts (that look fantastic) each time I'm ready for a change. I've had so many compliments on all my different hairstyles since I've been going to Vicki. I would definitely recommend both Vicki and Kira.

As a life-long resident of the area I have had the pleasure of knowing the owner of this salon (Janelle) for over thirty years. When Janelle was a young stylist, I always felt special when leaving the Barbary Coast at Lakehurst Mall with the most current, beautifully cut hairstyle. Through the years I followed Janelle to the first salon she owned, P.J.'s, then finally I returned to Janelle's current salon, The Octagon, eight years ago. I was disappointed to learn that Janelle was no longer cutting and styling hair, but she recommended a stylist to me that she thought I would like. I felt immediate rapport with Risa, and I have been with her ever since. Through the years my hair has grayed and thinned, making the job of cutting, coloring and styling much more challenging. Risa always tries to please me, even though at times I am not always easy to please. The Octagon is a salon that fits the needs of all age groups, the very young to the very old. My mother, who recently passed away at 97, was also a client of Risa's until three years ago. Risa was very kind to her and treated her with extra patience and tenderness. Thank you Janelle and Risa.

I got my hair extensions done with Vicki and Kira and they looked absolutely amazing! No one could even tell that they were extensions, and sometimes I didn't even remember!!! Vicki is awesome at what she does and Kira is the same! I recommend this place to anyone!!!

I have to admit, I was a little nervous when I thought of putting in hair extensions, but as soon as I got to the salon, everyone was so welcoming! Vicki and Kira did such an amazing job! Now I'm addicted!

I have been going to Octagon for years now and Jancey is MY #1 choice. She has always done great work on my hair and done what I've always asked of her. She has also done hair for several friends and the work is phenominal. I recommend Jancey and Octagon to anyone that comments on my hair.

Very nice salon. I'm a very picky customer when it comes to a haitcut,so I stick with Vicki and Kira as they always go an extra mile to meet my needs. Great job!

I moved from the Gurnee area couple years ago and have not been able to find anyone who can color my hair as good as Vicki used to. I can't wait until I can plan a trip back there to see her again. I was also there for a spa day before my wedding (manicure, peticure, massage) and they really know how to take care of you. I recommend Octagon to anyone looking for a great hair cut/color and more.

I have been going to Octagon since November of 2000. I absolutely love it there! I have seen quite a few girls since I have started, but for the last few years I have been seeing Jancey. She is such a great person to work with. She knows all of the latest styles, and she has really good ideas if you are looking for a change. She also pays special attention to texture of your hair to be sure that the style you are requesting will work well with yor hair. As much as I love Jancey, all of the staff is wonderful. Janelle, the owner of the salon, was there for me in 200 - 2001 when my daughter was battling cancer. She had the whole salon praying for my daughter. I don't know many salons that would do that for their clientelle. Well, I hope that you give it a try. It would be worth it!

I would like to comment on the great & professional service I've received from Vicki Millard at the Octagon Salon. Vicki is a very talented hair stylist , who enhances the fine reputation of the Octagon business & it's years of excellant service. She will go out of her way to accommodate me as her client, find the right color and style to suit my personal apprearance & will always discuss new or unique products to ensure a healthy hair or skin. She will go above and beyond to achieve the best for me. I always leave feeling happier because of my improved appearance and special treatment.

My aunt had been going to Octagon for years and finally I decided to try it after I was completely tired of the way my hair had been. It has been the best choice for my hair (and now eyebrows!) Sarah is most amazing! I even got my mom to come and try it out because she loved my hair. She now goes to Sarah too. My mom has a very modern haircut that she can do in the morning and it looks great! Sarah listens to her clients and then uses her expertise to make the perfect cut and style! Whenever I am in the salon, everyone is super friendly and you are treated with the best care. If you are looking for a fun place to go that will leave you happy you came, Octagon is for you! Now I am getting married and I am excited to say that Octagon is taking care of all the details of that day regarding my hair, makeup and nails. They have made planning for all my bridesmaids appointments so easy!

Gentlemen, if you need to get your haircut or want to change your style, Octagon is the place to go. Not only can they take care of your hairstyle but also have a fantastic full service spa. Sarah has been taking care of me for about 6 months and has done a great job working with me to create just the style I’m looking for. If you want the best, ask for Sarah!!!

I've been visiting the Octagon Spa for several years now and I always ask for Vicki. I've checked out other Salons now and then because I'm a woman and that's what we do, right? But I always end up going back to Vicki because I can be assured a fantastic cut every time. Along with great cuts, she is the only one I trust for perfect highlights and color. Both Vicki and her assistant Kira are friendly and cheerful. Since the outside walls are all windows, the Octagon is bright and sunny. The receptionists are consistently friendly, too. I always find myself in a much better mood after a trip to the Octagon!

I have been going to the Octagon Spa and Salon for many, many years. I have had spa experiences at Octagon, all of which have been outstanding. The last time I had a massage, I left feeling wonderful, without having to pay North Shore prices. The staff is friendly, polite and always makes me feel welcome. The shop is impressive and one needs to commend Janelle for the frequent changes she has made to ensure that it is always at its best, not only for her customers, but also for her staff and I love the charming gift ideas she has for purchase throughout the year. Jancey has been doing my hair for the last several years, and I have been extremely pleased with her skill and her friendly conversation. She is a very talented, patient, understanding, and creative individual. My positive experience had led to my entire family (husband and two adult children) to having their hair done by Jancey, as well as other salon services. I would highly recommend Octagon and Jancey to anyone looking for a new salon and stylist.

I have been going to the Octagon Spa & Salon for 4 years. They have a very professional salon and offer a variety of services to meet your needs. Vicki and Kira are excellent in service and results.

I enjoy seeing Vicki and Kira every six weeks (or eight, if I'm too busy). Vicki is one of those hairdressers who just "gets it" and I've always had a great cut/style when leaving there. Kira is her spunky, helpful assistant who gives great head massages during the shampoo!

I go to Octagon for all my haircuts and (when I can afford it) some spa treatments. They are friendly, the salon is very clean, and it always makes me feel pampered. I see Vicki and her assistant Kira. I have sent a few other people to them, and they have been very pleased as well. Keep up the great work!
