I've been going to Vicki almost since the day she started at Octagon. She always knows the best way to cut my hair. My hair is worn very short, in fact I think I have the shortest hair of any of her clients. Now that I'm older my hair is also thinning a lot, especially on top, and Vicki can give me a cut that shows my hair off to its best advantage while minimizing the thin spots. She also knows I'm sensitive to hot water and both she and Kira and always careful when washing my hair. I am really comfortable with Vicki and always enjoy our little visits when I'm having my hair done.

Vicki Millard is GREAT! I have been going to her for a number of years now. She used to be at another salon, but when she moved, I moved with her. She really knows how to cut my hair. And, I always seem to want something different. I really like Octagon as well. It is such a nice setting. I recorded the “Split Ends” TV show that featured Octagon (and Vicki) on the Style Channel. It was hilarious! Vicki said she did do a little bit of “acting” for this “reality show,” but it did capture some of the excitement of Octagon. I like the way they have preserved the nature around Octagon and the big windows they have for you to enjoy it. It’s also fun seeing celebrities get their hair done as well. I highly recommend Vicki, (as long as it doesn’t make it too hard for me to get an appointment).

I switched to Octagon about five years ago...and have never looked back. My previous salon was one of the best in Gurnee--and I had been going there for 7 years! But I just didn't feel like anyone was listening to me...they wanted to give me perms when perms weren't trendy...and my color always ended up looking harsh. Vicki really listens to me! I have never had a stylist spend so much individual attention on me! When she foils my hair, she acts like she is creating art. She pays so much attention to the details...she has a vision for every strand of hair on my head. Her education, knowledge, and training are apparant by the number of compliments I get on my "do" on a weekly basis. Bottom-line--I feel safe and well-cared for by Vicki and it shows in my color and style. She takes so much pride in how your hair looks...and Kira, her assistant, is excellent and pleasant. They make a great team. Keep up the good work ladies!

I have been to other hair salons and never have I been really happy as I have been over the last two years that I have been going to Octagon Spa and Salon. I go see Vicki Millard. She is a genious! I have had her do everything you can imagine on my hair and it always comes out amazing. We do color, cut, perm. You name she can do it. I will never go anywhere else. I am a Octa girl!!!

Vicki has given me a whole new apperance! I LOVE my hair extensions and the confidence I get from them. She has done wonders for me! And she's a GREAT stylist too! The only one I trust my color with! Thank you!

I have been going to Octagon for the past five years now. I used to go to another well know spa and salon in lake county and find this more inviting. Vicki Millard is my stylist and friend. She is the best.

I haven’t lived in Gurnee for very long. I was very happy once I went to the Octagon Salon and met Ineta. It is great to finally find someone that I could go to for a great hair cut, highlights, acrylic nails and wax my eyebrows. Ineta has always been great and I really enjoy going there.

I had been going to Octagon for several years for pedicures. This past year I started seeing Vicki and Kira for cut and color. They are excellent! My color has never been better! And they are fun to work with as well. I recently had a pedicure with Kira and it was perfect! A big thank you to Vicki & Kira for their wonderful service!

I have always had a hard time finding someone who can wax my eyebrows without one ending up thinner than the other, then I found a great Estitician (Erica)! She always takes her time and they always come out looking incredible.

I have had many bad experiences when getting my hair cut and also am not very good at knowing what would look the best on me. Then I found an amazing hairstylist (Jancey). She always has great ideas for cuts and hair coloring. I never leave disappointed. Both Erica and Jancey always make time for me. Now that I've found them and Octagon, I will not go anywhere else. The service is great and so are the people that work there.

I've been a steady customer at the Octagon for well over 8 years. The service and expertise are without equal. All the greatest success and keep up the good work.

I think that octagon is a very comfortable and relxing place that i can go to and enjoy my self. i have never found a place with such great customer service. The stylists and the front desk have really helped me complete each time that i'm there. I went there to get my hair cut and now i go there for massages and to get my nails done i love the octagon and would highly recomended it to anyone.

I got a gift certificate to octagon for my birthday. I had the works my hair dyed, cut, pedicure, manicure, massage, and facial. Everyone treated me like I had been coming there for years and all the services were exceptional. I have always been a salon hopper but Octagon is where i'm gonna stay

Having just moved into town from Oregon, My wife and I were looking for a new Spa. This place was great--The services--the people and the prices were very reasonable for what you received. My wife and I will make this our regular "haven" for all our salon needs. Thanks Octagon

I called to see if anyone there knows how to feather hair. The person that was on the phone (Polish lady) said "we don't do 80's here...OK, so I move on to someone that does.

Further, I just moved here and don't know the area that well. Had I went and liked it- I would tell everyone I saw. Too bad.

Salon was very unprofessional when it comes to service; i came in for an eyelash perm and i was not satisfied considering there was absolutely no curl; little did i know that i'd be confronted with a ridiculously rude and unprofessional owner.



I've been to plenty of salons in my day and my advice, avoid this salon at all cost unless you want to get ripped off. Save yourself the money and go to a better kept and clean salon.

they are very expensive but the service is really great. I would go back again.
