Provided by YP.comI have been going to Focus Eye Health for as long as I can remember. I wouldn't trust another office-I have formed a relationship with the staff here and they know me best! I get top notch care and am very happy overall.

Provided by YP.com1) they steer you towards a retinal scan which is not covered by insurance and don't let you know that before you have it....be especially vigilant with teenagers who go in by themselves and are not aware of this...it is very costly $80, I think.
2)they are constantly trying to sell you on stuff that is included by other providers such as anti-reflective, polarization, additional computer lenses, progressives (instead of just readers)
3)you wait forever, they overbook (1 hour minimum)
4)they tell you glasses will be ready in a week, 2 - 3 weeks is the norm
I went there because they took our insurance and they have up to date equipment but everyone else has caught up!!!!
We are very sorry that you were not satisfied with our service at Focus. We strive to exceed the expectations of all of our patients, and are disappointed when we fail to do so. We welcome the feedback so we can continually improve our service. I’d like to respond here to the points that you brought up: 1) We offer the Optomap as a service to all of our patients, which allows us to view the inside of the eye without dilating the pupil. Insurance companies do not cover this procedure. Dilating the pupil leaves the eyes blurry and light sensitive for up to 4 hours, but the Optomap has no effect on the vision. We can also save the Optomap images to keep a record of your eye health over the years, which also allows us to compare new images to old images to monitor any progression of eye diseases. Evaluating the retina is a very important part of the eye exam because this is how we diagnose problems like glaucoma, macular degeneration, complications with diabetes or high blood pressure, and many other eye diseases. We try not to ever let kids make the buying decisions without their parent present, so that they are not stuck with a bill that they didn’t agree to. Unfortunately, sometimes there are misunderstandings or miscommunications in the billing process, and we do our best to work with you to make sure that you are satisfied with the service you received as well as the money that you paid for it. 2) We feel that we are doing a disservice to you when we are not offering you the highest quality lenses and frames, and the latest technology available. Anything that you purchase is up to you, but we want to at least make you aware of any features that will benefit you in your eyewear. We often recommend multiple pairs of glasses because one pair of glasses may not suit all of your visual needs. I cherish my patients’ eye health and visual comfort like I do my own, and I wouldn’t recommend anything for you that I wouldn’t get in my own glasses.

Provided by YP.comI took my two kids to Dr. Berman's office for eye exams a few weeks ago. I was pleased to find such a beautiful office with an amazing amount of frames to choose from. Dr. Berman and his staff were great with my kids, and took the time to make sure that they were given a complete eye exam and helped them to choose frames that were comfortable and fit well. We were very happy with the whole experience and would recommend his office to anyone.
Thanks Dr.Berman and your staff for all your care and help.

Provided by YP.comI went to Dr Esperon's new office in Hackensack last week to get myself new glasses and contacts. I also had an eye exam just to make sure everthing looked alright and my prescription had not changed. Dr Esperon was very helpful with all my questions and the rest of the staff had great suggestions about what type of frames would look good on me=) I can honestly say this was a great experience, and I got my contacts and a pair of glasses I love, at a great price. I will definetly be back next year!!!
Thanks a lot for the glowing review. We hope to See you again soon. I hope you are still enjoying your glasses and contacts
