Not only does Champion have more competitive rates but it also has great Customer service. In addition, I got a referral credit of $25 when I joined. Tip: If joining in Winter, take the Fixed rate plan and if joining in Summer, take the variable plan.

I was looking for a new service provider after having issues with my current one. I did a lot of research, I found that Champion Energy was the best match. I don't use a lot of electricity so I would always get an overcharge. After switching over I've been a happy customer, they are very easy to work with(wish Centerpoint was that way). I intentionally waited 3 months to provide feedback to ensure that my review was a true account of my experience thus far. Previously, I had been serviced by a reputable provider since 1997 and hadn’t taken the time to shop providers. So glad I finally did because I couldn’t be happier with my choice, Champions Energy Services (CES). Compared several companies and read service reviews and ratings prior to finalizing decision. CES was one of the top 3 after making all comparisons. One of the other providers listed in my top 3 sent me a mailing which offered an attractive rebate; however, once I ran the numbers it wasn’t much of a rebate since the price p/kWh was higher, so decided to go with CES. The transfer was seamless, didn’t even require that I contact the old provider…CES took care of everything. Very user friendly website and billing process is quite comprehensive. Overall, no problems at all and each month bills have continued to decrease. OMG…I went from paying an average of $500/mth in the summer (with previous provider) to just getting my November bill which is a whopping $94.04. They even offer incentive to current customers who refer others, so please try Champions Energy Services and be sure to include my referral code (TBratton17789). REVIEW : I was a first time apartment renter / bill payer and I chose Champion based on the several good reviews I saw on the company. So far I have been satisfied with the service and communication. After signing up, I have had to make several calls to verify online account information, and the customer service was great! They answered all of my questions and responded positively to any concerns. Their online web client is slightly clunky when trying to change info, but a quick chat with their reps fixed all issues I had and the account changes were immediately viewable. I have signed up for ACH transfer payments, and that went as smooth as possible, being deducted from my account next day! As far as rates go, The company seemed to have some of the lowest in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I locked in for a 12 month plan, but they had variable rate plans as well. I will see how I feel come renewal time, but so far so good! I would definitely recommend Champion to anyone looking for energy services in the DFW metro. 1-Year UPDATE Thanks to those who have used my referral code. I have had the lowest electric bills I have ever had in my life! I currently have a credit / negative balance on my account! Probably won't find that at too many other electric companies. I have been a customer for 12 months and have had zero problems with Champion. I do not know why people give them bad reviews. They have always been extremely helpful with customer service and with all these bill credits, I have been able to put that money towards other things I really care about. 1 Year, 3 Month UPDATE: Thank you again for supporting me by using my referral code. The savings that Champion offers to its customers is simply unheard of. There is no limit to the amount of referrals credits you can receive and continue to save month to month. I have nothing negative to say about Champion as nothing negative has come up! My electricity is always running, my bills are always emailed to me, my credit card is auto drafted each month (except for the fortunate months where I have a a bill credit!), it's simple and very functional. No complaints yet with over 15 months in!

This is a great company and they make it very easy to switch (I had txu) and ready to help you as long as you need. They have very good engery rates the cheapest ones i have found so far at 9 cents per kilowatt hour (based on 2000 hours). If you ever call them with a problem that you may have they always fix the problem you have right away. Overall a very great company to have for your engery company.

We received our electric bill from Champion Energy yesterday. We did not expect our bill to be $792 (doubled form the previous month) especially since we used less energy. My husband called Champion and spoke with a CSR and was told we were no longer under contract and that "several" attempts had been made to contact us. When my husband asked when these attempts were made he couldn't give any specific times. The CSR did say attempts were made by phone. My husband called them out on this one and offered phone records. Then the CSR said it was on the bill. We pulled up over 6 months of bills...no messages. He then told my husband that a supervisor would call him back within 4 hours. This was a 4:07 p.m. At 8:07 p.m. my husband called back Champion and spoke to another supervisor. This time she said that he was emailed. The email on the account is a company email and the company requires archiving of all emails. Again, no contact was made. She also told my husband that the kw/h fee was of "fair market value." How is over 22 cents fair market value when Green Mountain charges (customers not under contract) 10.5 cents. He was then told that if we wanted to sign a contract they could lower our rate. Is anyone familiar with the term "extortion?" Another supervisor called today and told my husband that the only way to lower the rate was to sign a 6 month contract. No contract, no lower rate...the billl stands. This company is price gouging it's customers and expecting them to sign contracts. THIS IS EXTORTION IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD!!

This company has the best customer service ever. You will always get a person on the other end of the line. Rates are great and customer service is best in the business.

Champion is my 3rd (and last) electricity provider. I have been with a couple of others (both large, well-known companies). This one is by FAR the best. I am saving a bunch of money... my bill dropped by almost half, and I have been able to use the referral plan to send several of my friends to Champion. That has been cool because of the referral credits, and because my friends are glad they switched too. Not to mention everyone involved gets $25.



These guys are the real thing.
